After last years horrible season I sold off as much as possible, gathered picks and future cap and prepared to be a bottom team for a couple years. Right before the draft I decided for fun to sign Gaborik leaving me with $7.50 to spend on 2 goalies and 6-9 players. I initially planned to go full tank but sadly couldn't get rid of some decent players and couldn't make a deal to get my 2014 1st back either. So now the plan was to field a decent enough team to not guarantee dead last. My auction: Erik Cole $1.75 Martin Hanzal $1.25 Clarke MacCarthur $1.25 Mayson Raymond $.75 Ryan Malone $.50 Brandon Prust $.50 EDM G $.75 COL G $.50 Nothing special. Nothing great. Rest of my team: Marion Gaborik Alex Burrows Tyler Ennis Derek Roy Cal Clutterbuck Justin Abdelkader Jason Chimera Mark Letetsu David Jones Peter Regin Brian Boyle Trevor Daley Marc Staal Yannik Weber Carl Gunnarson Eric Brewer Jordan Leopold So pretty blah team. Started out 8-16 and at times the very bottom team. So when I started winning a little and slowly moving up in the standings I started making little trades. At the end I ended up with this. Added more games to reg season. ahh okay, so every game night is a double header for somebody which means your indiviual double header nights are random throughout the year. I thought maybe you doubled up on Saturdays or something which would be better for some teams than others. What you're doing seems fair to everybody. Link to post Share on other sites

How they're dispersed inside that block, and which days, etc is random. IIRC, the second game of the double header was always against a non-division opponent, but I could be wrong on that. The way it actually works is I have a schedule made up with numbers instead of team names. Each year I'll randomize the teams (first divisions are randomized 1, 2, or 3, then teams inside each are randomized 1-5, then they get assigned those games, so it'll be entirely random and different each year.)
