southsidepoker 0
If the dropped deck didn't touch the mucked cards then reshuffle the deck and finish the deal. If it touched the muck I don't really know. It sounds like it isnt exactly a serious game so maybe just try to seperate it from the muck as well as possible and then reshuffle? Everyone is an expert at poker until it comes to actually knowing the rules lol.
Roo6339 0
Why did you even respond? That is what is wrong with this forum in cases like this. I have been a member for four years and never been able to get an accurate answer on anything.Umm... sorry to have upset you? Rough day huh?If you read the thread you'll see my first post is helpful and a standard ruling but he asked another question, so I gave him my opinion which I said I'm not sure on. Your post isn't exactly helping either so maybe you should start your own thread about how you can't get an accurate answer on anything. Or you could at least try and be helpful and suggest something instead of bitching about it.
Dogpatch 2
From Robert's Rules:IRREGULARITIES17. If the deck stub gets fouled for some reason, such as the dealer believing the deal is over and dropping the deck, the deal must still be played out, and the deck reconstituted in as fair a way as possible. So, there is no hard rule on how to do it. In the case of a home game, everyone should agree on the fairest way possible. If no agreement can be reached then the host makes a decision. In a casino, the dealer or pit boss decides.Dogpatch = the new 13CARDS ???
Mercury69 3
Lick a duck's arsehole to see what it tastes like, then reshuffle the remaining cards and continue dealing.

mtdesmoines 3
Ok so weve had this happen a few times now at our weekly home game tounry and where looking for a good RULE to stick with. What rules do you guys use when the dealer acidenlty miss deals in the middle of a hand?IE: dealer is dealing the turn card and he drops deck and gets cards everywhere? What would be the best option here?Is it a complete miss deal? Just curious how you guys decide this one.We already have a board? What a mess. Shuffle the deck and burn and river, I guess. Before the flop, we usually just redeal at home. Makes everyone feel better.

Before the flop, we usually just redeal at home. Makes everyone feel better.Yes, thats the catch in this circumstance, if its during the deal then we usally just redeal to everyone too. But when the cards have been delt out and a flop came and the pot has a bunch of chips in it thats where we are having problems. Where trying to decide if its better to reshuffle the mixed up cards and let the remaing players resume the hand or ruling it a complete miss deal and starting the hand over. Thanks everyone for their input.
