The flop comes 1084, Ivey checks, Corkins bets 13,000, Ivey moves all in for about 65,000, and Corkins quickly calls with KK. Ivey shows J9 for the open-ended straight draw, and he'll need to improve to stay alive.The turn card is a blank, and the 9 on the river gives Ivey a pair, but it's too little, too late. Hoyt Corkins wins the pot with his pocket kings to eliminate Ivey in 103rd place, just shy of the money.Phil Ivey started this event strong, finishing with the chip lead on days 1 and 2. It seemed like he would be able to coast into the money, but it just didn't happen.Curiously, it keeps an interesting streak alive. In WPT events, Phil Ivey has seven cashes -- and seven final tables. Every time he has reached the money, he has reached the final table. But he has yet to go all the way in a WPT event. Negreanu quickly calls all in for 99,500, showing pocket deuces for bottom set. His opponent shows J8 for a pair of jacks, and he's already drawing dead.The meaningless river card is the J , giving Negreanu a full house (deuces full of jacks) to beat his opponent's trip jacks.Daniel Negreanu now has about 303,000.
