Hi there.. if you have yet to enter the realm of online texas hold em.. then you should strongly consider the offer i'm about to put on the table. As an affiliate for party poker.. I get paid to refer people to party poker. Basically, i will give you 50 free dollars.. just for opening an account.. there is no strings attached, you dont need to deposit.. you can simply play out your 50 dollars, and then quit if you want, and if you do win, you can cash out however much you want. You have absolutely nothing to lose and only money to gain. This is definately good for beginners because you dont have to dip into your own pocket to learn the game of poker. Email me at TJSLIFKA@uwm.edu or Instant message me at TALENTEDTEEJAY on Aol Instant messenger for more details.

From Mike Paulle's blog:Sammy Farha says he has 250k. The players at the table say not in his stack. He says they are in his pocket.

After three levels Daniel has $62,650 and Erick has $72,000
I thought you were such a jerk when I saw the WSOP coverage, but in reading your blogs, and the fact that you are taking the time to post these updates for us, I really find myself becoming a Josh Arieh supporter, that is until I take you out at the Mirage WPT event next month.

I happened to walk by Johnny Chan's table, and noticed he was in a pot. I stopped to look, and the next three minutes were pretty surreal. Johnny Bax raised, and Chan re-raised to 1,500. Bax flat called. The flop was 9 5 3 rainbow, Bax bet out 4,000, and Chan called. The turn was a 2, still no suits. Chan put 13,000 chips out into the betting area. After putting the bet out, Chan (wearing sunglasses) looked closer at the chips, and apparently realized he made a mistake. Chan attempted to take back 8,000 of the 13,000 chips he put out. A floor was called, and Chan was forced to put the bet in. Bax then moved in, and Chan called. Bax showed KK....Chan showed AA. Johnny Chan doubled up early, and Bax was out in fifteen minutes.
from pokernews.info quite humorous how chan played himits over now (day 2)

how is it humorous. It was A-A vs. K-K, just about everyone on this board and most professionals would get doubled through in a tournament in this situation. The guy got extremely unlucky to have this come his way. With the action in the hand maybe a strong read puts Chan on Aces and then the player with Kings makes an even stronger laydown, but how often have you seen Kings get laid down pre-flop in a tournament, very rarely if ever. You see it happen in a cash game much more often but in a tournament Kings are almost unfoldable. I dont know or care about this guy who got knocked out, but I find it ridicoulis that people look at this as a case of a pro outplaying an unknown. I bet dollars to donuts Chan loses his stack if the shoe was on the other foot in this hand.

Wasnt exactly against an unknown either....Jonny Bax is the #2 ranked online player in the world according to pocketfives.com He also posts on pocketfives message board and says at first he put chan on AA or another big hand but the move did make him think his hand was good.
