  1. I stick to mainly nl cash games and tournaments, myself. I've asked a very similar question before and never really got any replys to it. My main question is this. How should you vary your strategy from nl cash games to tournaments? I know tournaments are a different animal altogether but I'm not sure which parts of my tournament game to alter while playing cash games.
  2. What happened to DW? He was toward the top and in the matter of a few minutes he was at the bottom. One update said he got crushed in a 7ook pot.
  3. Dave is one of the best young poker players out there. It's no secret anymore.I know hes a great young player, but he was down to like 16k i think and now hes one of the leaders, not like hes playing against chumps here.True. Even getting lucky though, he had to play some fabulous poker to get back up there, especially in that tournament.

  5. I wouldn't mind hearing something this topic discussed also. I have a much better handle on tournament poker because there's so much info. on it out there. Although I tend to do fairly decent at nl cash games, I'd really like to read some advice from a pro or someone with a lot of experience on how I should approach nl cash games. Do I play tighter or looser than in a tournament? Should I change gears more or less often? That sort of thing. I read the other thread on tourneys vs cash games Daniel wrote about but I didn't see a whole lot of discussion on how your approach should be differ
  6. It appears Josh is on top of his game and getting the cards to back it up. :-)
  7. Dang it! I hate seeing Daniel lose. Good luck next time, buddy. Good luck to Josh and Edog the rest of the way.
  8. Lol! That's one of the funniest things I've ever seen. To keep his mind occupied, he's playing an online sng while playing in one of the biggest tournaments of the year. Whoa! Surely, he won't be doing this as the field starts to dwindle and the scrubs are eliminated. Will he? I'd think he'd want to concentrate more on the the WPT. I wonder what Josh's explanation behind doing this is. There has to be some method to the madness. :-)
  9. Good luck Daniel, Josh and Erick. I'm pulling for you guys. Thanks for the great updates.
  10. Thanks Febreeze. I really wish there were some books or articles out there on nl cash games.
  11. Are there any out there? Of course, there's a ton of information on tourneys but I haven't been able to find any on nl ring games. I know their not as common and relatively newer so I guess that's why there's not much info. on them.
  12. i play in jax quite often at the st johns dog track (www.jaxkennel.com) it's the straight 2, but if you can play disciplined o8, you can make a killing there. often see capped family pots and stuff. suncruz also out of jax, same deal as the daytona. also, the $45 tourneys absolutely suck. i've played in 2, won one of them (30 man) but i vowed to never play in them again. 1000 starting chips, 25/50 blinds more or less doubling every 15 min. plus it's $32+$13. but i LOVE the o8 there.Im going to have to learn how to play that game. I've only been playing a year so I tried to focus the li
