  1. Good post.Sounds wonderful, I mean getting anally probed by the IRS because of a lifestyle choice. Just for consideration what does tax evasion cost? What would the penalties be if you didn't report a 10k neteller account.
  2. On suicide,The cons:You leave friends family and anyone who ever cared for you feeling like horrible people (there are more people who care for you then you think). You set a horrible example for anyone who looks up to you. (There are more then you think). You'll never get to experience the many joys of life again. There is a way out of depression so you can feel happy again. The pro:You don't feel your pain anymore unless you believe in an afterlife. But remember that your pain is temporary and though you may not believe it today but you will be happy again. Girlfriends are temporary and yo
  3. Tourneys are high variance no matter how good you are.I read this whenever I wonder if I want to play a tourney. Then I stick with lhe cash games.http://walterzuey.livejournal.com/25968.htmlAnother quote "Every player will eventually run worse then he ever thought possible" that may be scott fishman. So stay strong and learn from your mistakes. You can do it just be patient. You will get used to losing, it dulls your senses.
  4. You made some great reasons in this post but this is the only section. You had some awesome reasons for being in favour of population control. But I have to disagree with these statements.Especially the part about aborting a woman. As my earlier post replying to your view in favour of population control I would argue that the act is immoral because it assumes that killing something you think is human sets a bad precedent. The precedent that some humans are expendable because of the overpopulation issue. It's called the "tyranny of the majority" when a minority group of person's rights are s
  5. I think its unanimous except for a few extremists that birth control is the much preferred choice over abortion. Not only is it less costly (financially and emotionally (unless you're sterile)) but it helps us avoid the big issue of abortion. However this gold standard will never be achieved. Thats not say to its not worth trying to educate everyone but that will only solve the majority of the cases. Even in that best case scenario it still leaves a decent amount of people who just forgot the pill that morning or were just plain careless with sex. Also the very few cases where people used c
  6. Its sort of a matter of two debates. Please correct if I'm wrong.1. What is human?2. Does a womans right to pursue happiness overide a humans right to life?#2 is a non-issue to me. Life has more intrinsic value then happiness to me. But I understand the reason for this debate. This is going to sound weird but I know people who have argued in favour of infanticide. Of course there were extenuating circumstances but its hard for me to beleive that an infant no matter how young isn't "human". When you see a baby for the first time its really hard to think you have right to kill such a beauti
  7. Alright I looked at Daniels blog again and I can admit when I'm wrong. I skimmed through that section of his blog and only that sentence seemed to stick with me.I can admit that I completely misnterpreted almost that entire section.I'd still like it if there were some debate on abortion and abortion issues.
  8. "I think your post here is more WOW than his blog. Oh yes, but we do all see the remarkable connection between online poker and control over a woman's body, i mean the two are almost synonomous. The state has control over your body too...when someone beats the crap out of you for being a moron and you try to kill yourself to save the embarassment..that too is illegal my friend. Now go back to your baby killing and leave us alone."Did you read the blog. Everything in the paragraph hinted to him being pro-choice except for that line. Some other comments he made seemed pro-life but I sincerely t
  9. "I think it's really hard to KNOW when life really begins. I'm not pro choice, but there has to be a line somewhere?"I assume this is supposed to read I'm not pro-life.How can a poker player possibly be pro-life?If the state has control over a womans body then the state definitely has the right to kill online poker or gambling in general.I hope Danny clears this up.
  10. Welcome New guyLike everyone else here i agree that capping is silly(Except as a variation play which isnt necessarry at this level or if SB is complete maniac (he'd 3-bet with j10)The raise on the flop is completely necessary to get an idea of what the SB has. This also punishes the loose passive player under the gun (if he has calling with bottom pair or some sort of backdoor draw)On the turn you're in quite a mess (because you didnt raise the flop). Folding is a good option but depending on how overaggressive/dumb these guys are it could warrant a call.Avoid the messy spots by making the
  11. I thought the analogy comparing a burger to a joint was silly.I thought comparing a joint to a shot was valid. (both recreational substances that cause harm but differring legal situations largely because of the "war on drugs")I thought the food analogy brought up an interesting commentary on how much control the government should have on substances. (I don't think they should force people to eat healthily, but companies that promote unhaelthy lifestyles should be penalized by taxes (with the money going to health care of course) )I think that legalizing marijauna would cause fewer problems
  12. Marijuana's bad, mmmmmmkayOn a serious note i think there are tons of stoners playing poker online.Even some pros don't hide the fact (Gank's name on partypoker = purplelungs)In short it may help some people in the short term, just like alcohol can make some players better. In the long-term its probably negative EV (lung cancer)Don't know anything about meth though. What is it methemphetamines? It could probably help you pay attention a bit until you got addicted. Then the heart attack.
  13. No I'm not suprised that something that this happened. It just makes it a lot easier for me to be cynical even about a guy as good as DN. Maybe I'm writing this because I thought DN was a self-less guy, a true role model for any human being. (Maybe even a role model for myself). I thought he may have created this forum and been so accessible because of the person he is (honest and straightforward). Though I still believe these are major character traits of his I am very likely to believe that he is a business man out here for profit. Does he really think that adding a casino to this foru
  14. I mean he was losing money just keeping this site up, everyone needs mobney right. :-)
  15. I think this new site is just indicative of how dn views us.($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$)I'm not suprised he's a poker player. Its his job to create an image thats conducive to making money (he's written articles on it). I dislike the new site (it is horribly designed with crappy software). I know I'm a cynic so don't bother telling me to be a pessimist.I guess I'm still a DN fan (just now I know that his kindness in the past may have had profitable intentions.
