Its funny how things work out, I think Hoffman is a very talented player, a guy capable of 70pt seasons. He may thrive in Florida and hit some big numbers.

Happy fathers day guys. Im not one to mention it to random groupings of friends, but I say it here because the fathers on here have helped me be a better father. I've learned a lot from you guys on fatherhood and just being a better person, and felt it right to say it on here and say thanks for making me a better dad. And that goes for many of you on here, not just the Dads. So, thanks!

Bjugstad was actually the first name that came to mind, but I hate when teams need a #1C, and they go after guys who are 2nd/3rd line C and use up their assets. Instead of getting a pick and Bjug for Pac, why not try to find a deal where you give up Pac+1st+something for a true #1C, or at least someone you think could legitimately become one.

whats the rumoured return? I would assume a D, just based on need, but who? If the Habs are smart, they would ask for Huberdeau+Trochek. what, Florida isnt going to just give up 2 top 6 fwds for so little???? You may want to look at the Vegas Golden Knights roster.

Also, Im a little pissed that Carolina couldnt convince Bergevin to take Skinner for Galch. Oh man, would that have been PERFECT

my best guess is that this was not a contract move. Domi would have signed in ARZ, as he is just RFA, and wasnt going anywhere. He probably would have signed for less than Galch's 4.9mill anyway, and it sounds like Mtl+Domi have a deal in place anyway. will be interesting to see if he gets a bridge 2/3, or Mtl likes him enough to give like 5-6mill over 6 years. I think the real issue here was Mtl wanting desperately to get rid of Galch, and knowing time was running out. He's a UFA in 2 years, he wasnt staying in Mtl barring a huge change. Galchuckie for Domi I can already see everyone oni twitter saying Bergevin screwed up again, but Im not 100% sure about that. I do think Galch has the much better upside though, so this could really blow up in Habs' face.

haha its funny how hockey works. A friend of mine who has Marlies season tix and I were talking last night, and to us, this is probably the weakest team thay have had in 3yrs. Others came close, but this team pushed through. Well done, happy for them, the Marlies do things right, great community team, and do good work with kids and the special needs community. Kind of cool to watch Dubas get so excited lifting the Cup. I think he's going to be easy to fall in love with....til things go sour, then everyone will turn on him. Then he will win a Cup, and nothing else will matter.

My Lfyt or Uber (cant recall which one) requested pickup in Vegas asked me if I was willing to accept a driverless car. I'm assuming that was just a poll, and not a reality, right????

not entirely sure! although to be honest, I weighed myself day I left, and I hit 171. So I gained a couple in the days I was actually there. tbh, most of it is because I was walking around a ton, not eating a lot....and drinking my calories. Once my work days ended and I started to drink a lot, I somehow was having like 1.5meals a day. Its amazing how your appetite just leaves once you start+keep drinking. lol Its when I stop drinking that it all changes, now I want carbs+sugar.

Very happy and relieved for you. If you were in front of me, I'd hug you my friend. Enjoy the relief!

Still thinking and smiling about being at game 5. I was really conflicted if it was worth all that money, but some good friends convinced me to do it, and frankly I had won the money in a hockey pool, so it was easier to justify. Hours after this game, we all heard the news about Bourdain, and his books in many ways changed my life+my desires to reach for experiences in life. As a good friend said to me last night, life is pretty much fcked 8 ways until Sunday. Find any happiness you can. Life is way too short guys, the next time you have a decision like I had, just go for it. Enjoy
