  1. that kessel number really sticks out. too low IMO
  2. ummm, I dont think you were alone! (didnt mean to imply you were anything but informative) its cool to see looking back, that for most of us, our first intro to her was only 9 months ago.....I had barely heard her name before the Aussie Open, and Dubey asking you your opinion was classic FCP...hey Bob, whos this tennis guy/girl?!!?!?
  3. congrats Dave! love the 8-8-8 factor. and congrats to you Danny, maybe you get lucky with Nov 1, 1:11am
  4. Daniel, just FYI.....I think you got something wrong on your draft list. You have me at #66 but thats Ingmen, owned by Swackers I have Swackers 4th pick, #74
  5. I can honestly say I haven't read one article that says the Bruins are even a big favourite. The most shocking thing I read was the line at bet365, which I jumped on right away. Leafs+145
  6. Which Boston Bruins fan forum are you guys on that you find these narratives? Lol Lucky to win one game? I don't think anyone with any knowledge of hockey would say that. You guys need to stop going out to dinner with Jack Edwards.
  7. So sorry for your loss Bob, may he rest in peace.
  8. Really sucks that this is coming after the deadline when guys like Gudbranson were available.
  9. Huge night tonight Raptor fans. Spurs in town and with them the return of my favourite Raptor of all time. The return of the man who was instrumental in the Raptors becoming a top franchise in the NBA over the last years, and one of the most honest to goodness good guys in the NBA. Welcome home Rudy Gay!
  10. I was listening to Marc Savard, and he was complaining about the same thing (Hainsey should be 3rd pairing, Muzzin #1...Marleau should be #4 line) And I was thinking, maybe this current lineup isnt going to be what Babcock is going to use in the playoffs? Maybe he's just easing Muzzin in. I feel like it sounds like Im making excuses, but who knows how Muzzin feels right now, what Babcocks long term plan is. I guess there is something to be said though if by game 70 you arent using playoff ready lineups
  11. exactly! lol thanks buddy, appreciate it. you always come through for me with this stuff!
  12. Hey Wayne, need your expertise. We got a signed Leafs hockey stick (wood), signed by the whole team, with MLSE cert. Any idea/best guess on value?
  13. I was watching the SJ game on Monday, and a controversial penalty occurred....and then he said something that was in favour of SJ, made a lot of sense, and was articulated without yelling. I honestly wondered what was wrong with him.
  14. See, to me, this is a clear example of why we need to change how we reward draft picks. Imagine right now we were using the model where the the best lottery odds went to the team with the best record AFTER they were eliminated from the playoffs? Personally, I still vote for best odds to be given to the teams that had the best records not to make the playoffs.
  15. Last week, the Ontario govt put out a new policy on Autism funding. Of all the people I've been reading thoughts from on this recent development for the autism community, Elliott Friedman put it best. If you live in Ontario, please please believe this has nothing to do with politics. This is all about kids, their future. and the future well being of this province. If nothing else makes you want to help these kids now, you best believe the cost will be so much greater later than it is today if we dont help them learn and become at least a little independent. Please see thought #31
  16. must be same guy Serge is referring to, cause seems like his killer was caught: https://www.thestar.com/news/crime/2011/12/07/janitor_convicted_of_killing_restaurant_owner_koutroubis.html https://www.brampton...ed-in-brampton/
  17. I dont know if he was your friend, but it sure sounds like the same guy. All I know was that he was a bookie, Greek and a few of my friends at the time used him. A pool I'm in had like 18 of my fellow poolies in this surv pool, 2 of my friends won....and before any collection was made, we were informed he was murdered. Who was the guy arrested for it?
  18. I asked about the rules, because we were discussing it. Bob was good enough to post in a few diff places, since no place seems to cover all 20 teams attention. FYI, there have been instances this year, as Ive noticed and JP said he has as well. As I said on Slack, I dont think its cheating/tanking, but some teams are just not paying attention and icing inferior lineups.
  19. Wow, I heard of this too pool, but had no idea about the theft. This is the $5k per square one, right? I had 10 friends that were splitting a square years back, not sure if they still do it, Im gonna have to ask. Two of these same friends won a survivor pool years ago, and were supposed to collect.....$8k? I think......and the gentleman in charge was subsequently murdered, no money. Greek bookie, Im sure you know the story Wayne.
  20. Thought I would share this: One of my best friends, when he was 15 and I was 17...decided he would sleepover on Carlton St the night before Leafs playofff tickets went on sale. So, a few of us drove down to the Gardens, and we dropped him off on a Friday night at 7/8pm, and left him there.(great friends huh?) He made friends with these older guys in line right behind him, and they helped us by buying some tickets for us.....so 8 of us friends went to 4? playoff games, 4 people at a time. (ya, I was once a pretty big Leafs fan.lol) The friends he made that night in line would then go
  21. Dom L article in the Athletic regarding NHL superstars, ie Matthews, and the type of contract lengths they should go for is excellent. Read it if you haven't already
  22. Would you trade Kapanen to rent Panarin? What about Johnsson and a 2nd? I was reading an article this morning about possible trades for Panarin and Leafs came up. Made me wonder what they would give up just to rent a star for 1 run.
