  1. Damn, you're good at posting these real brain ticklers! LOLOk here goes....you are getting 18 to 1 on a flop call, giving you more than sufficient drawing odds to a Q or 10, but do you really think these outs are good?? I'm folding this flop regardless of pot size, only because there's too good of a chance that I'm drawing to runner runner. Now I could be wrong, and I would love to hear other opinions, but thats the route i'm taking. So you call the flop, you obviously think your outs are good. When you spike your 10, why not raise ?? You can always fold if the SB 3bets, which he probably w
  2. I agree with aseem...Raise the flop!! Raise the turn!!
  3. Ok, here's my thoughts, and for some reason It actually took me half my day at work to come up with my answer and the reasoning behind it.The flop bet is good, I would play it the exact same way. However with the UTG player raising AND the SB check/3bet I'm thinking I'm beat, even though this still isn't an easy laydown. I think the only way I'm calling this flop is if I know the SB is a total nutbar! What hands is he 3 betting from a logical perspective?? Sure he could be overplaying something like AQ, AJ or worse, or maybe TP and diamond draw, but I think more likely it is an A6, 66, or
  4. he did raise the turn.aseemOops, sorry, misread the OP.

  6. I think a check/ call is my play on this river simply because MP1 seems to be drawing....either to hearts, QT, or maybe T8, and in the first 2 cases his draws got there. On a side note....what do you guys think about a check raise on the flop since the button could just be on a steal, since it was checked to him??
  7. Aseem, I read the strat section regularly, and usually agree with a lot of your views, but how is this river a value bet? Unless you KNOW this guy will call you with K high or worse, you're betting for a chop, its even likely that he's got a hand like 88, 99. I could be missing something though.
  8. In short handed Nl, I'm not calling even min raises with anything under A-10. However, with the exception of the first 2 positions, I'm usually making a stantard 3xbb raise. Basically, you don't want to be calling raises with weak aces, but its usually ok to open for a raise.
  9. I would play hand 1 the exact same way.Hand 2, although you lost the minimum my just calling every street, i'm raising the flop. If I get 3-bet i'm still calling down. Also, do you put him on a straight or a set?? I'm assuming you do judging by your lack of aggression, but i think a case could be made for raising the turn as well, am i right??
  10. Is simply check/folding the flop too weak/tight??
