  1. Well be glad you didn't get in. Already froze up again after 2 hands.
  2. Too funny. Same for me. I am actually watching the game, just better on HD in the other room.
  3. Any chance if they get it going that it starts up or can I go watch the Miami-Florida St game?
  4. Yep. I was already registered and it isn't starting.
  5. WOWWWW. Just busted out. Blinds were 300, 600. I picked up Aces on the button. Middle position raised to 1500. I raised to 3000. He called. Flop comes K 5 2 rainbow. He checks, i bet, he moves in. I figure him for AK. He hit a set of 5's. Holy moly, can't believe it. Had to be another big stack too.
  6. About 14k at this break, average stack is 8k. 460 people left.
  7. 730 left, just under 10k. Huge stack to my right.
  8. You're wrong.Okay, well thanks for giving us the correct info. Would be nice to watch him but I guess you have to be on the "inside" like you.
  9. 3235 at the break. I am guessing Steve is SteveSoCal

  11. All of this talk is centering on the fact that we know the cards of the other 2 players. For anyone who has played enough, especially online, you realize in this situation, many times you are against top pair-ace kicker, top pair-straight draw, etc. Sometimes amazes me what people will push all their chips with. As Spademan has said several times, in game, NO WAY you fold this hand. For those of you who read this as flush draw, set, every time, you are definitely losing money long run. Kind of the way Harrington describes those people who fold K's because they are sure they are up against
  12. So it seems my biggest problem lately is to continue firing at pots when I have a pocket pair like 10's or J's and I am just being called (NL). I have almost always put in a nice raise preflop. My problem comes when the board comes with an overcard (usually a Q because I have an easier time getting away from a K or an A). When I get called I continually think their hand must not be incredibly strong so I keep firing because to let up shows weakness, I get bet at, and in most situations, have to fold. I seem to be losing too much of my stack lately in these situations. Anyone have any idea

I'm playing. Very close to being out though, $195.
  14. Sitting with a huge stack in a MTT with several small and medium stacks at the bubble.
  15. I think starting that hand I had 320k or so and he had about 240k with blinds 5, 10k and ante of 1 or 2k.
  16. Usually 3 to 4 times the BB, occasional all in. I had a little over 300k chips at the time and I believe blinds at the time were 5k, 10k. This bet wasn't drastically different, because I do believe it was 2.5 to 3 times the BB.
  17. Okay, so I was down to the final 2 of the Bodog 25K. I had about a 3 to 2 chip lead. The other guy kept pushing big pre-flop taking the blinds and antes. I was BB with K8s. He put in a little more than double the blind, I called. The flop comes 7 6 5, 1 spade. Thinking he was probably on 2 overcards, I pushed all in. Rather have him have to make the decision to put all his chips in than have to make a decision when he bets. He calls and flips over AA. River comes a 4. Tournament over. A couple of the railbirds gave me a hard time for pushing. Obviously I wouldn't have pushed it in
  18. Trapping a maniac into bluffing all his chips into the pot when I flopped a set and he hits runner, runner straight.
  19. One thing we are doing with our structure is having 10 tournaments and then one final tournament for the seats (we are giving out 3 seats to some of the smaller WSOP events). In the final tournament everyone has a base of 1000 chips and then gets awarded 100 extra chips for every point they accumulated in the previous 10 tournaments. This will obviously give the people who did well in the previous tournaments a significant advantage. Our group is only 10 people and we only award points for the top 5 in each tournament. The top 8 in points make the final tournament (we do believe this will
