  1. My only superstition in Holdem is when i am all in and called i like to throw my cards out on the table first . Makes no difference what so ever to the outcome but i just like to do it.
  2. It is simply a statment, like, "have a nice day" I'm not slamming you. My philosophy is if you enjoy the upswings, enjoy the downswings too. I'll explain. If you play GREAT poker and are up play 43 bb/hr you are happy right? Well, eventually you will lose, (nature of the beast) If you play good poker and lose you will enjoy it more than if you play bad poker and lose it, get it? Variance does not pay attention to what table you are on, so to answer your question, do what you want to, as long as you are playing good poker it doesn't matter. Keep in mind though, part of good poker is note
  3. what kind of a comment is this " enjoy the downside of varaince" . i know there will be a downside there always is , i didnt post this to say i have this unbeatable strategy so use it , i was merely asking advice on wheter to stay on one table r keep moving .
  4. quick question. i consider myself a better tourney player than a cash game player but lately again ive tried a few cash games online . What i am doing now is play .50-1 dollar tables , buying in for min 40$ , now if i get up to say 55,60 $ i change to another table and start again. I play for maybe 1 hour a day and in the last week i am up nearly 300$. Now is this just pure luck that this is working for me at the moment ,or do some of you play this way also. One friend told me i should stick to one table get to know how they play and go from there. But people come and go so quicky i dont see
  5. why do people post shite like this. This is a forum , the bloke asked a question for it to be discussed . u dont want to discuss just dont post .
  6. read what, what did i miss , oh u mean the one where he posted about 55 hands that he played blah blah blah mmmmm no
  7. WOW?So in your game yeah is equivalent to a call???? Can I play? I HOPE THE ANSWER IS YEAAAH!!!!HAhahahahaa that is so funny , have to find more of your posts to see if u r this funny all the time
  8. same sort of argument at a home game we had. Heads up player 1 raised to 4k, blinds 500 and 1000. The person who was dealing said to player 2 its up to u , player 2 replied " yeah" maybe a 2 second pause" im all in. " player 1s argument was that when player 2 said "yeah "that was a call and he cannot raise . In the it was agreed that he made a verbal call by saying yeah to the raise . is that the ruling ?

  10. The reason i posted this was to see what other people would have done in this situation, the fact that it was only a 10$ tourney is irrelevant i think. for those of u who told me what they would do i thank u, for the other people who act tough hiding behind a nickname well ye are the reason people r getting pissed off with this forum
  11. Played a 10$ tourney yesterday , 236 entries. First hand I was on the button dealt KK . To make the story shorter there were 3 all ins b4 it even got to me. I folded not wanting to go bust in the first hand.IN the end i would have been knocked out by set 8s and 2 pair As and Qs.What i am asking here is ignoring the fact i would have lost should i have called the all ins and try to get a big chip lead immediately . (the other peson who went all in had k3 but they were suited )
  12. if this has been discussed b4 i apoligise. just wondering what you would do in the situation where for example 5 players left in tourney , money for top 4 , 1 player all in , 2callers , Would you check it down ( which i prefer to do ,unless i ahve the nuts then throw in a bet but only if it is the nuts) or bet hoping the other player folds and u r heads up trying to win the whole pot.
  13. i love this u r able to tell me stylin fish i am so wrong , any chance u could tell me what is right r were u waiting for someone else to give the answer so u can act like u knew it all the time
  14. We were playing a house game last night where one of our regular players brought a friend from work to play . The following happened during a game of NLhold em. SB 2000 BB 4000 , the next person too act who was low in chips went all in for 6500 . I folded the next player said i reraise all in for 30k . Our new player states that you cannot do this as the first raise ( the all in player) did not make an legitimate raise(ie he had to raise to at least 8000) so all you can do is flat call the 6500.Can someone give me the correct ruling on this as i felt anyone who had no chips invested after h
  15. i have been playing NL Holdem for a few months now and i now consider myself to be a good tourney player but an absolute crap player when it comes to cash games , i am trying to figure out why , ( obviously i have stopped playing cash games now ) i was just wondering has this been the case for anyone else here and if so were they able to rectify it . Is it down to the bankroll you have or is it a case u dont mind calling a 3000 chip bet in tourney but if its a 300$ raise in cash game you dont have as much confidence in your hand .just wonderd what peoples few were on this
