I am looking for information on how to learn statistics and math based on poker odds. For example, the odds of flopping a flush: (11/50) * (10/49) * (9/48) = .8%. I would like to know how to come up with any situation in my head and be able to find the odds of that happening using a very similar formula to the one above. The only reason I know that formula is because it's listed in King Yao's book. I would like to be able to come up with my own calculations and thus I need to learn the underlying math behind them. If you can explain to me how I can get a check to send to them. They are my only bank and thus my only checking account. If I write them a check to myself they will just be taking it out of the account that I need to deposit to which won't help. No, it's a small bank that only has branches in the State I was living and they don't even have an affiliate out here.

So here is the deal. I have a bank account in another state. It's getting low on funds and I need to deposit money there. I want to take cash and have it wired to a bank account. I have already called Western Union and they said they can't do this. Has anybody ever done this and if so, what service did you use? It just seems weird that you can't pay in cash and have it wired to a bank account. I'm sure there has to be something out there.

I just set my rebuy record in the $3 rebuy at Pstars. 15 rebuys + 1 addon and I am just barely above average stack at the break. This is why I like freezeouts because I suck at rebuy tournaments.

I have read them but unless I am mistaken they are for limit. I'm sure a lot of the same basic principles remain the same but I've been told that pot limit has a lot of stuff that is different from limit. I am looking for resources that specifically refer to pot limit as apposed to limit.

I have read the section in SSII about limit OH8 and I am most of the way through Ray Zee's book but I can't find a lot of good info on pot limit games. Is TJ's book the only one out there? How is it? Any good information online I can get?

I did the Starluck bonus. I've never played Blackjack in my life so I used the odds chart since I had no clue what I was doing. I played really slowly and referred to the chart each hand to make sure I wasn't making any mistakes. With that being said. I lost my $100 bonus money and $100 I deposited. I am down $65 so far and it just seems like that with the casino only having less than 1% edge they sure do win a ton of hands. Is this normal? I am playing fairly slowly so far because I have to refer to the chart almost every hand so far but I am on pace to lose my $100 bonus and my $100 buy in.

Yep, I think I have narrowed it down to my play from the blinds. I need to get much better at this. I have a really hard time dealing with highly aggresive people in late position and I'm in the blinds. If I pick up a half way decent hand like A9 I will 3 bet but I usually find myself stuck if I don't hit the flop and get called. Then I have to decide whether to fire again on the turn. If I'm called on the turn and still have ace high I usually check on the river and almost 100% of the time they bet. Now I have a decision if I should be calling with ace high on a medium sized pot. I appreciate all the feedback I have received thus far. I think maybe I should cut down on the number of tables I play at one time because I really don't have a lot of time to write down notes on players. I currently play anywhere between 6-8 tables at a time and I used to be able to play mainly ABC poker using PAHUD or GT+ and get all the info I would need to play. I also think I need to work on my play from the blinds because there is a ton of raises coming in from the CO or button when I am in the blinds and I'm not used to that either. Well my problem is I am a semi bonus whore so I don't always have the luxury of playing at Stars or Party and getting to choose a good table. I was clearing some bonuses at B2B and I tried WSEX considering they have 100% rakeback. I guess maybe I should just stick to Party where there are still some bad players.

I already knew it was coming but I don't think I was quite prepared for it. As more books come out and more people learn how to play, it is harder and harder for me to win money. but have you ever heard of anybody playing well below their bankroll because they can't stomach the bigger swings at higher limits? That's what is happening to me and I can't seem to shake it. I started with $20 and have run it up to over 3k but the swings at the "higher" limits make me want to throw myself out of a window.
