  1. It must depend on where you play, because at every casino in AC that I have played, the rule is also for No Limit. This happens regularly in NL games and this is how it is in AC.Sorry, then where you play is wrong. I've been playing for over 10 years and its always been this way. I haven't played in a casino in AC or Vegas that will aloow you to raise in that position in a NL gamRR's will tell you the same thing as well.I agree. I am on my 12th year and in AC it is the same as everywhere else.Justin
  2. Mine is very similar. Those focking super index cards some casinos use... anyway...I hold AA(I thought) guy who think is donk holds AJ. He is early pos am one off button at turningstones 20-40 table. He bumps it I three bet he calls. Flop JJA WOO HOO I thought. He bets! I 2 bet he 3 bets I cap... we had two other callers in there too. Same all the way to the river until its just me and him... we are 7 bets into our war when I get this sinking feeling... I look at my cards again... A4.... one of the focking aces turned into a focking 4!!! I couldn't believe it. All the time I thought I had hi
  3. Thanks man I took that about a year before the disaster on the ferry to Ellis. Got real lucky with that shot. I miss the Jeep. Think its time for another. :)Justin

  5. My guess is that if Doyle put one of his up for sale... the ebaytards would probably pay over 100K for it. Hell, they recently paid 125k for 300 ivory poker chips circa 1850. Not only that, they paid me 150 bucks for a used double deck set of kem arrow wides. I love ebay. :)Justin
  6. So... he calls your raise preflop and is representing kings? You have to be kidding about this post so I am going to stop.Justin
  7. Bitter old people.Old? I am 31 years old....I am talking about the Young Punks that come to the Casino becasue they just turned of age and of course....they dominated their home games...so they are going to "teach" everybody on the table how to play poker....Ah yes the home game heroes. I love them. At turningstone where the age is 18 you get a lot of fresh faced future of poker types that just got done reading poker for dummies. I espescially love when they sit at the 20-40 table with us "old" guys (I am 30) and start raising the hell out of everything.... I am going to the casino now.Justin
  8. I hate that too.I also hate many things that were probably stated... IEEveryone on every forum I read playing the game <1 year and being a huge winning expert.People that have been playing the game <1 year arguing with you about rules and terminology.People over analyzing everything from the eye lash that fell on the table as a tell to WHY DID MY AA LOSE TO A BOARD OF 56789sooted SHOULD I QUIT POKER?People defining a loss of AA to anything as a bad beat.People defining any loss of anything to anything as a bad beat. People that try to explain their terribly play with anything other than
  9. I see it a lot too... people getting anal about rules violations. But, they are the rules and someone has to be anal about them. They are rules for a reason. I have never seen anyone enfore an all in with cards behind chips or enforce a bet because someone was counting chips in front of their cards. That is rediculus. Justin
  10. I havn't read other replies so mine isn't influenced yet. Here is how I look at it... he put his money on the table... period. I don't care if you are a pregnant woman, the President, missing all limbs, the Pope, a girl scout, deaf dumb or blind, Mother Theresa, or shitting in a bag attached to your side... put your money on the table and alls fair. This isn't a charity event and you don't see sharks in the ocean getting moral about who they eat. Neither will I.Justin
  11. Why don't you become this guy? That will solve your problem. And I am not flaming, I am being serious.Justin
  12. Good story up until you use the term SLOWROLL incorrectly, thus making you look like a complete idiot. Then again, he probably had no clue either.Justin
  13. Royal funny you mention it I am and engineer and a sailor but not a pirate. Anyway, it is the masonic symbol. I am also a Free Mason.Justin
  14. Waht's the best way to do this? with a rag? Do you oil the edges only or the whole chip surface? I assume you use very little oil or else it will come off in your hands. One or two drops on your fingers. Rub it in with your fingers. Let them sit for a few hours then wipe off any excess with a dry towell. It doesn't take much and you are correct, you can over do it, but it will eventually work out. I recommend practicing on some extras.Justin
  15. Oiled means using a drop or two of mineral oil on each chip. Really brings out the colors and protect them.Justin
  16. Nice setup. Have you oiled those ASMs yet? Also, what are your colors there? Looks like...Imperial Blue/BlackMandarin (?) Red/BlackBlack/ Mandarin (?) RedPurple (?) / GreyAnd if you don't mind answering one more question 8), what's your distribution for each denomination?I'm thinking of getting 500 for 7 and smaller cash games, maybe some 10 person tourneys...maybe 200/200/50/50? 150/150/100/50/50?No not oiled yet. Trying to figure out when I have time to oil 1200 chips LOL.You nailed the colors except the 1000 chip is Orange/black. I don't really like the orange, thought it would be more... or
  17. See my pics those are ASM roman mold. 4 months to get. But I got to pick the colors and design, which you don't get to do with Paulson. JustinHere is an example of mine
  18. Obviously the OP is a douch the way he started out. However, remember that opinions on poker players are just like opinions on say your favorite football team or baseball player. If you say the red sox suck that isn't to say you are better than them right? Same with a pro poker player. If you say one sucks... that doesn't mean you can beat them. When I say I think "The Magictian" sucks at poker, doesn't mean that I want to play him. I simply don't like him or his style. Am I qualified to make this statement? Probably not. But who cares? Who is qualified to say red sox fans are losers? No one r
  19. http://community.webshots.com/photo/299543...316110753BRecDNSweet picture man....sweet.Thanks man. :)Justin
  20. If I read the post correctly, I don't think he meant it was his 16 year-old who wanted to play, but moreso a random 16 year-old with 5k in his pocket trying to buy into a game.Thats right... its not my 16 year old. Christ I hope being 30 I don't have a 16 year old running around out there LOL. As for anyone else's 16 year old, I can't comment on his dad's or anyone else's parenting.Justin
  21. I understand what you are saying. The problem is, if for example, you go to the casino with 300 bucks and sit down, but are worried that you are going to lose it, you shouldn't be playing with it. If something is going to suffer (bills, rent, whatever) if you lose that money and you are worried about it there are two things I can guarentee... A) you will lose that money and B) whatever it is will suffer. If you play worried about losing you will not play your best game. Not to turn this thread into a bankroll management thread but it has been covered time and time again here. You cannot play p
  22. Ya i have noticed a large influx of wealthy children at the casino. So what? I have a 16 year old that keeps trying to buy into my games. He will often show me 5k in his pocket to try to convince me. Anyway, I don't see it as a bad thing. There have always been rich kids that throw away money on something. In the 80s it was coke. In the 90s it was heroine. Now its poker. What would you rather them be throwing their money away on? Drugs or poker? Personally, I prefer poker since my earnings have sky rocketted thanks to the influx of rich kids at the casino. Justin
  23. USPCs version of Kem is better then Kems version of Kem (now, after getting over the QC issues). Not out in wide variety yet tho. www.nicetoys.com has both versions. Justin
