  1. The rule you two cite is certainly valid, but it only applies to heads up situations with a low pair against a higher pair. This is completely different. We have three other opponents in the pot, giving us enough implied odds if we hit our set.
  2. Check behind. If you don't hit consider raising a very weak river bet by a mid pp turned flush.
  3. Looks like a scared JJ or AKs to me. I would bet about half the pot.
  4. Definately an easy call pf. You're getting something like 3-1 immediate odds and you're going to get a lot of action if you hit against these donks. To break even you only need to make an average of about 900 more when you hit the set (guesstimate based on 7.5-1 to hit the set and me being to lazy to count the pot). A large fraction of the time you will double or even triple up when you hit.
  5. He had 77. He said he thought I was on the flush draw and then called me a donk for calling. WTF?

    Aq Hearts

Definately don't reraise AQs preflop in most deep stacked situations.Make your flop and turn bets close to about 2/3 of the pot to extract maximum value. I would bet about half the pot on the river.
  7. Yuck. I should not play when I'm really tired. This hand looks like an obvious check fold on the turn to me now. From UTG he is very unlikely to have a drawing hand that did not connect in some way.
  8. He's not pushing with a weak ace. If he has a hand, he probably either has trips or AK. I'm thinking if he's passive enough to slowplay AQ-AT, he's too passive to check/ push that flop (with that range). If the bubble just burst, there's a decent chance he is bluffing (although I'm not sure if it's a good enough chance to call.) However, I think it's very unlikely that he would risk all his chips on a stone cold bluff when third place has half his chips. Then again, since you posted it I'm guessing you either called and lost, or folded and he showed you a bluff.
  9. I don't think shoving preflop maximizes value against 2nd in chips. AJs is a monster three handed, and I don't mind taking a flop in position.
  10. hey all! haven't been around much lately. It's nice to be back in the strat forum. $20 superstack (2500 starting chips on absolute). Villain had been bluffed out huge in a big pot about 8-10 hands ago.Absolute PokerNo Limit Holdem TournamentBlinds: t100/t2008 playersConverterStack sizes:UTG: t7500UTG+1: t12455MP1: t5330MP2: t7190CO: t10954Button: t9556SB: t7080Hero: t7115Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is BB with 5 2 UTG calls t200 (pot was t300), UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls t200 (pot was t500), 3 folds, SB calls t100 (pot was t700), Hero checks.Flop: 4 5 Q (t800, 4 players)SB checks, Hero bets
  11. yup, conservatives and educated liberals alike despise michael more. the only people who put any weight into what he says are uninformed
  12. i don't know, but i hope karma sends you on a gigantic losing streak for making such a blatantly obvious brag post.
  13. His wife is the prime suspect. She has not been charged with anything. This bugs me. People automatically assume someone is guilty just because he or she is suspected, even though suspects are often found to be innocent. It's innocent until proven guilty. Learn your legal system.
  14. no, that would connote that at one point i had a nugget of wisdom.
  15. when people leave you cant play. when you cant play you cant make money. that's all i'm saying.
  16. i am right. think outside the box a little (and it has nothing to do with reads)
  17. the meaning of this went completely over my head.
  18. time=money. think about it, lol. and yes, i am an *** in real life, thank you for noticing.
  19. i just ran KK into AA heads up. that made me throw up a little in my mouth.wah, wah, wah...
  20. uh, lol yourself. i don't know if you're inebriated or just plain stupid, but i'll give you the benefit of the doubt. sleep it off and think about it a little.
  21. I don't need a warning. It's just nearly impossible to make money when people will sit down, win 5bb, and then leave. If its not heads up I don't care when they leave because the game continues.
  22. I don't play heads up cash games any more because of all the hit and runs. i think in most cases it's an *** thing to do, but everyone does it and it annoys the hell out of me.
