  1. Doesn't that make the play even worse, if there is only one player left in the hand behind him? At least JFarrell's idea made some sense in a tournament scenario, this is just stupid.
  2. Playing 30/60 at Pacific (where else) I just saw CAPCHA call a preflop raise from BB and when the flop came JT8 he OPENFOLDED   Is it JFarrell?
  3. Speaking of NBA, who's watching the draft tonight? (Maybe move to off-topic?) Sorry.
  4. Gee, I'm glad you know so much about British culture Smash. I'm not sure where I'd go for a shirt with "Zedanne" though? Im assuming you mean the legendary French attacking midfielder Zinedine Zidane who currently plays for Real Madrid. I'm thinking you don't realise that Rooney is one of the more disliked English footballers, and Zidane is actually well loved in England. We have a great respect for the legends of our sports, it seems you share that respect for him.
  5. I can absolutely guarentee to crush ANYONE at All-Star Baseball 2004.I always play as a new franchise (get tons of crap players) and if I played every game in the season have no doubt I would go 162-0. I normally have to deliberately let the computer on All-Star setting score runs just to make it interesting. If I play hard all the way, I may give up 4-5 runs per game but I NEVER score less than 20. I played the first month of the season once and I had Carl Everret on 34HR Anyone care to make a wager on this game...
  6. Did you see the guy's smile?? Sheesh he's a scary guy. Did he say he wants to be an English teacher!?!?
  7. I know many of you guys here hate the idea of somebody slowrolling, and so do I. Frankly it is the cheapest and most classless thing you can do at a poker table. It's more important to be a good winner than a good loser IMO and I thought we saw this class best exemplified in Poker Superstars.Anyway, I have now seen TWO occasions on the WPT when a superstar of the game has slowrolled, one of them our very own Daniel. I find this truly unacceptable. The first was when Doyle sat their against (I can't remember ) and asked about chipstacks etc before saying "I call by the way". I don't care how
  8. Is the abuse everyone gives Jason all a joke? Or do people actually not like him? Also, how did he become the only Mod on here?
  9. Can we see a raise of hands for those who actually believe Smash contributes anything but pointless flaming to this community. I don't mind people getting flamed for stupid posts etc etc but to do it to someone who has made a very useful post as one of his first is just incredible.Smash, before you go get all flame happy on us and tell us that someone who's play you haven't even seen is bad, why don't you sit back and think why you are in such a bad mood right now. Is it because you are a losing player?I've heard that doctors these days can do great things, including helping those with their h
  10. He should have just called the guy's reraise. I wonder whether or not he knew just how many chips Dean had at that time. It was the move you'd make against a stack of about $800,000, but not for all your chips when you're in third place.
  11. Does anyone know what happened to this guy? He seemed to be playing a very solid main event and was something like 3rd in chips when he overplayed an AK and wound up in a race against the guy 2nd in chips and lost out to JJ.I think he took away about $200k but was chipleader for so long it must have been a dissapointment. Anyway, anyone know if he's at this year's WSOP and how he's doing?
  12. Hey akishore, I'd be very interested in your upcoming post about Miller's shortstack theory. We've all been sitting on the edge of our seats for it. (semi-sw)
  13. Yeah I think you're right. The play was probably to call the reraise and hope not to see an A or K on flop. Thanks for the help guys.
  14. Hi guys,OK, its the second blind level of a 300 player MTT at UB. It is folded around to me with QQ in mid-position, I raise to 4X BB.It folds around to BB who reraises about 10XBB. This is the spot I'm not sure about. I reraised to about 40BB whereupon he moves allin for like 100BB. At this point I fear AA or KK but figure I have to call it. I'm up against AK and he hits an A on flop.Anyway my questions are these:1. Was it the right play to reraise his reraise? Is the correct play here to call the bet and see a flop and bet if it comes jack high?2. Did I have to call the bet after he moved al
  15. Hi guys,I'll tell you the situation:I signed up for Pacific Poker through www.freepokerchips.us in December 2004. Having still not received my chips by March I emailed Pacific who told me that my account was indeed linked to freepokerchips.us and told me to contact them. I have since sent freepokerchips.us numerous emails, non of which have been responded to.On emailing Pacific for the second and third times they have told me that they would refer my email to the "Affiliates Section". Needless to say I have never recieved an email from them.Where do I stand now, and what should I do?Thanks
  16. Hey aseem,I like the idea of this Getting Started in Hold 'Em book. However, do you think it is basic as far as being designed for absolute beginnners as the title would suggest? Thanks
  17. elkang, you're a sad man for knowing that much about dancing AND being proud enough of it to brag about it.Congratulations elkang you have over 900 posts and you know the difference between a set and trips, but the OP had a serious question. The simple fact is that, as our own Harry Demetriou once said, in reality all pros are the same level. The media wants to portray certain guys to be better actual players and all of the rest but in terms of skill they are all equal. They all know the odds, they all know when to value bet etc etc. The only thing that is really different between them is their
  18. I have about 20,000 PSO points and so am about to make my first order of poker books. I am getting 3 books to start with, then I can build from there. My initial choices are:Super System 2Small Stakes Hold 'EmHarrington on Hold 'EmI am mainly an online limit hold 'em player, at about the 3/6 level but also play online MTTs and live MTTs. Any other ideas?
  19. Hey guys,I have heard a lot about how soft the cash games at the WSOP are, but just how bad are they?I heard someone mention 20-40 BB and hour at 2-4 NL. Is this even close to reality? Also, for those of you who are out there, how is your cash game WSOP going?
  20. Yeah, he has been playing quite a few of the tournaments in Europe. I think he won over £100,000 ($190,000) in one tournament this year. Not bad for a tennis pro
