  1. Then the Bears win an unlikely game and you get 0 ... FUCK!
  2. So I had really gained some wight back. I was back up to 230 and feeling fat. So a friend of mine and I were planning an awesome backpacking adventure. Well I managed to lose three pounds before we left over a month of training for the trip. Then over the week long trip, I managed to lose another 7 pounds so I got back to 220. My legs have been feeling super strong after all that hiking, so I started running again after the trip. Ran 3 miles the first day which was awesome. I also bought some 5 fingers. So I ran a mile in those as well. Muscles I didn't know about were sore after that
  3. I'll bite. So what would you rather see in those headlines?SUV Kills Pedestrian = Pedestrian walks in front of car ... car winsHandgun Kills Child = Child in wrong place during gun cleaning accidentPitbull Attacks = Provoking Mild Mannered dogs may lead to bite
  4. Yes, but I was blatantly disregarding the rest of his post and focusing only on the one part that said "That's all we dirty LIBRULS wish to see." I then propounded on that and wished that it were true that it is "ALL" the lberals want to see. It was supposed to be kind of funny and at the same time a commentary on what always happens on FCP, and that is to ignore most of a post and only zero in on one particular statement whereby we can demonize that person based on one quote taken out of context. Actually I guess it could be a commentary on politics in general.
  5. and how Pam "succeeded".I am almost over it as well... Anyone know what happened to Parks and Rec?
  6. At a home game with friends, this played out as well as it could have. I mean the guy could have been a dick and said that you folded so you get nothing, so as it is, the guy did the right thing. Realize that this is a home game and people are always talking and it is not always going to go down strictly "casino style".
  7. BG, was this intentional (said in a sweet southern blond belle voice)
  8. FINALLY!!! Shot -2 today. No bogeys and two birdies. Putting was solid today.
  9. So basically everyone else is doing it (ie the banks, lenders, congress) then why can't I
  10. Okay. So, in my little worldview walking away is never ethical. So a person bites off more than they chew ... is it now the responsibility of the government to bail that person out? I believe the answer is no. Maybe a solution would be to sell the house, take the balance of the loan after the sale and offer that person a low interest loan on that money when they get another job. That way the person is still paying off THEIR mistake and the bank is going to get back THEIR money that is owed to them, they will just have to write down most of the interest they were going to receive from that
  11. Oh JoeyJoJo, you make me laugh sometimes Of course it wasn't. But the direct application of how the government was set up correlated to an idea that if you work hard it will pay off. 1) the lost mortgage payments is a bad argument because she would have been paying rent somewhere either way, so that is basically a moot point2) wrecked credit doesn't seem to have the teeth it used to have because there are so many people like her that are walking away3) I too am unsure of other consequencesBut that is not equal to the distress in the market caused by people walking away. If there was no oth
  12. Wouldn't the employee be able to be covered under COBRA for the 6 month period and then be able to get the government coverage? Or is COBRA going to be nonexistant under the new legislation?
  13. The right thing would be to find a way to make it work, whatever it is. Maybe move back in with your parents and have a free spot to live, while you rent out the other place and work two shitty jobs to pay it off when the market finally allows you to. There is work out there ... just because it is "below" you doesn't mean that you shouldn't do it. America was founded on the idea that hard work pays off ... it seems now everyone wants to get rich quick and if their investment fails then someone else should pay because "it's not their fault". SURPRISE, you took the risk, you have to pay. Wh
  14. Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the "fine" supposed to subsidize coverage to individuals who aren't getting the coverage through emplyment, thus increased coverage because it is affordable to those people now, even though they aren't getting it through their employer.BTW I am NOT a fan of Obamacare ... just asking a question.
  15. At least she is "only" down 46K ... we paid 378, owe 320, and it was appraised at 225.Maybe one day it will be even again and we can look at selling. Other than that we have to wait until the balance matches the appraisal. Because we are responsible people.
  16. Ah, they won't be okay with it as I don't think anyone really supports this guy (except his congregation), but they also won't really care. What I am trying to get at is that there is WAAAAYYY to much hoopla surrounding this. And the response from Islam is rediculous. You burn a book, WE ARE GOING TO BOMB AMERICANS!!! It's like they don't get that it's just one whack job out of how many millions of other americans. I mean if I had to weigh in I would say that human life >>>> a book, even if it is a holy book. The whole thing is retarded. I wish we would have seen the "peacef
  17. That is what is so maddening to me ... oh really Islam is a religion of peace, cool Prove It! I'm not sure if they are familiar with the phrase "actions speak louder than words"As far as the last question ... I think in general most peaceful muslims probably don't care. They are probably offended and would not like the pastor, but I don't think any moderate muslims in Florida are going to bomb the church when this is done. It's the radical muslims that are the problem. So then what do we do? Do we bow to Islam at every turn, or do we decide that we don't care. Like I said ... it seems lik
  18. You know the more I think about this Koran burning ... it seems like it shouldn't be THAT big of a deal. It's a book, granted it's "the holy word of Muhammed", but it's still only a book. The news is now warning other governments that there could be backlash everywhere. There are literally millions of copies of the Koran. If some ****in whack job wants to burn one then we should just let him do it and STOP with all the coverage. If we could just step back and say WHO CARES then this would just go away. Imagine if he just went to burn the Koran and there was NOONE around ... then the dude
