I'm curious if there are any calvinists on here on this board just for the sake of debate.

This can be done in Jesus' name because of the authority given to him from heaven (Mat 28:18)

I think he created us cause he wanted someone to love, someone that is like him. In his perfect world we would all reckognize his name, but since the fall of man, people have fallen away from God. Heaven is for those who reckognize that he is God. He has done things to prevent us from going to hell. He has revealed himself in many ways. One way is that he came to earth as a servant so that we know he is God and knowing that Jesus is the perfect sacrifice we are forgiven because we are reckognizing who God is. (Sorry for sounding so very repititious ) but that shows that God cares a lot

James is a great book, it speaks about pride and makes the message well known that boasting and pride is evil (James 4:16)To much pride is a bad thing, but remember that in Genesis, every time God made something in chapter one, he reckognized that it is good. That is not a terrible thing, but as was said, when it comes to putting faith in yourself, thats when it becomes a sin, remember that "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights" (James 1:17) and to give credit where credit is due.

Hey dude, i dont think it is a huge problem to date an unbeliever as long as the person you are dating isnt going to bring your walk with God to bad places. It really all depends on what your looking for in a woman as well. There arent any verses in the bible that have the word gambling in it, to the best of my knowledge. But, gambling is something, that to some people, can be very addicting. As a christian i have no problem playing poker. But recently i have found it taking control of my life, which is why i quit playing online and really only play for fun at home games. Me and my bro are looking to go on a roadtrip and goto a casino that has an 18+ poker room. We will both be 20 when the time comes for the trip. We live in the Chicago land area and we are wondering if there are any casinos in the midwest that have 18 or over poker room. We are thinking about making the drive to Windsor in canada but was wondering if there are any closer. Also, anyone know how good the poker room is at Windsor Casino.
