  1. my read wasnt necessarily that villain bluffed, just that she might bet with medium-weakish hands. however, i had not seen her (or hardly anyone at this stake) check raise. so, her bet on the flop might have been just a draw or pair+draw, but her check raise was at minimum 2 pair and a big draw. atleast thats my best guess. so i figured i was either flipping or crushed by her range, and i folded.if the original raiser (the SB, who i know will bluff) had made this play, i might have called. though, he only bluffs when someone has been acting weak in a hand, so it would less likely be a bluff, b
  2. villain is not the pf raiser. that was SB and he folded on the flop. villain is BB and could have a ton of hands here, with my read.as for reads, i included them. villain in this hand called a big raise in the BB with A249 ds in a 4 way pot (2 of the players, including SB here, were basically all in preflop minus like a buck a piece). she c/c AKx flop and bet pot when she picked up a flush draw on the turn. which makes me think she'd just bet again with a big draw. or maybe she just checked a draw with no pairs and figured since i bet 1/3 of her stack anyway she just stuck it in.

  4. 2 half pot bets and a call doesnt make me think theyre too interested though. wouldnt a better made be betting more to charge flush/full house draws?
  5. just kinda general if anyone plays this up front, and how we should proceed with the 2nd nuts on a very drawy boardnot all of rrumsey's advice is great, but atleast he tries and wants to learn and improve. he doesnt throw a hissy fit when someone disagrees with him, which is way more than most people on this board. and the 2+2 boards from the few times i posted there.so, turn is Q I check, CO bets ~1/2 pot again, SB calls, HERO....calls?bad but not horrible. no flush or 2nd flush draw, but i now have the 3rd nuts as KQJx got there. the betting is still weak tho. we again playing for showdown
  6. im not raising preflop because im getting called by atleast 2 people 95% of the time, usually more than 2. now ive got a marginal hand in a bloated pot, out of position. if i thought i could get HU in position with a blind i would def raise, but that almost never happens this early in the tournament.also, i dont really want to dump the hand because im a favorite (i think) over most draws. i dont want to jam because theres a good chance im beat, and i can get away pretty easy if a draw comes in and someone bets enough. if someone were to bet big i would probably fold, but a half pot bet and cal

  8. in general, should i be throwing away KKxx where xx are not suited or connected like KK37 no suits?i figured the hand basically sucks unless we hit a K, so ive been ditching it (except like LP with a few limpers sometimes)then i came across something last night that said to basically never fold AAxx or KKxx
  9. me tooi had a bad feeling he had like AKQJ or A9TJ or somethingbut theres very few A9xx combos, and im not sure he'd c/r those rather than just lead out my big worry was that my bet looked kinda weak so he might have come over me with like AKxxbut again, im not sure he c/r those rather than just leading out
  10. with 3 other players in...not stupid, but i dont think its a good idea
  11. the board is really dry, so on the flop we're way ahead/way behind, but with 3 other players almost any turn card (except a 9 or 2) puts atleast one if not several draws. so this isn't really a true wa/wb situation (i wonder if there are many of those in omaha?). even HU with this dry flop i think id want to bet this, as any broadway card gives a hand like AKQJ a lot of outs.

  18. that is totally wrong, and if you dont see why, then well, whatever. i never said this specific hand is definitely a call at low stakes. i just said you cant make a blanket statement about this. and i would never fold this in a $1. oh, sorry. should i not have posted again?
  19. 2 Ks, 2 Qs, 3 Js? depending on his cards, of course. i count 7. with bd flush and double gutter bd straight i count about 8 outs total.

  21. you have the best hand right now, but with all his outs he's almost a 60% favorite.
  22. really? the last $10 sng i played, first hand 2 limpers, i pop it 6x with JJ in the BB, both call. flop is T86 i bet get raised and 3bet, i fold because what can i beat right? 62o and 84o. youre telling me that is in these players ranges at much higher levels? now yeah its an extreme example. but i see hands like this all the time at lower stakes. no, not everyone that plays smaller stakes sucks this bad, and im sure there are bad players at higher stakes. otherwise nobody would play. im just saying that the +EV move may be different depending on your opponents, because their ranges are differ
  23. doesnt count for much if youre out of position against several opponents and your side cards suck. being slightly ahead preflop but having no clue where you are often postflop counts for very little. im not saying AAxx isnt a good hand, but its way overrated, imo
  24. with this thinking, are you ever playing any hands?AA loses, too, ya know.youre forgetting the times we stack AJ, AT, QJ, QT, Ax, Qx, etc
  25. not necessarilyi agree the buy in should not affect what we do. a +EV move is +EV no matter the stakes.but the problem here is the ranges for players in a $5 SnG are drastically different for players in a $215 SnG. here, even if the first guy is spewing or spazzing with top pair or a draw, the second guy isn't. his range crushes us. in a $5, their ranges are much wider. the second guy has a pair or pair+draw much more often. their ranges change, so the most +EV move for us changes.
