  5. Thanks to all for the kind words and congratulations.....I truly appreciate it. The casino is great and tournament was run great. The last table I was on I played w/ former Illini/NBAer Ken Norman, real nice guy. I made the $$$ a fair amount over ave. but we had plenty of big stacks at my table, will leave out any stories, feel I played well and really wouldn't change any, oh well.. Tourney structure was great til about level 17 I think when it went from 500/ 3k-6k to 1000/ 4k-8k, up until that very nice and fair.Again thanks to all.I am planning on being back tomorrow Tuesday for the Horse,
  6. I would be in for Friday Satellite for the Sunday 1k tourney. Also, for as nice as it might be....jinky getting us lined up....I would rather go, local, no rake, one and two we could use are own slower structure. Just my 2 cents.Huskers20
  7. We have 2 separate Chicago threads, but yet plans are made in the Gary, Indiana thread........Disappointing. I could have made it out last night. Sounds like a good time.Get back to the Chicago threads:)
  8. Wow, VN!!!....And we did do the late 10% swap right?....dam even after talking about it we didn't pull the trigger, lol.Congrats, though that is awesome. Which two did you chop it with? And does this mean you will be back next weekend? Let me know, I could play Sat. or Sun.Huskers20
  9. First Congrats to Cubsfan44.As he cashed in last nights 100plo tourney w/ Chicago Charitable. Don't know how he finished up but good work, right before I left he had doubled up twice to get back to a healthy stack....How did you finish?I am definitely out for the 6th, and would be 50/50 for the next weekend, so don't base to much on me.If you haven't been to one and are thinking of it, you should be trying to clear your calender.Huskers20
  10. I'm like 80% for this Sunday's 100PLO.Who else?
  11. does Willow Crest = Oak Brook Marriottif so....I just played a long night of poker w/ the head pro....That if we change the date:).....I can get us nice preferred rates.
  12. I am definitely out on September 6th. I know you like setting the date and who makes it makes it, but I hope you can reconsider the date. It did seem like there were more NO's for that date then definite ins.And after making the first two you know I would be a yes on almost all other dates.Thanks.Huskers20
  13. Naked, received. TY and congrats again. So what are the early plans for next year? Got to be thinking ahead.Huskers20

  15. Obv. rules out home games....what about when they are on the road? Do they have a bye week?Last year are first one was in September, so let us know which weekends you might be free.
  16. Another wonderful day and night.....Big thanks to Cubs99 for getting this started and to Lefty for being so gracious to host all of the degenerates. And Vick is a stud as he won BOTH.....ok chopped and won....but dam that is goooodddd. Zimmer thanks for driving in, thay is awesome, it was great to meet you. Hope it was worth it for you. Can't wait for the fall version. Huskers20and when I left there were no damaged trash cans....
  17. Keith,PM sent.Hope you can make it. I do not have your #....sent you mine.
  18. First off Congrats on playing tough to cash.Second for as big as tourney as this is supposed to be (going from Card Playeron these numbers)....isn't it a little disappointing that the average stack on the bubble had only a M of 12.86.Card player numbers coming back from break are 4k-8k 1k ante so 21k w/ an ave of 270,000 for the players. For 25K doesn't this seem low.I might need to post this in it's own to see what I am missing but for as deep stack as they say this is, doesn't seem that special.Let me know what I am missing.Huskers20
  19. Tough date, have a work dinner that night could maybe go but would have to be b4 4:30. But would love to meet up w/ both of you later on in the month for beer there to support the cause.Huskers20
  20. I have been getting disconnected alot lately with them, usually comes right back up before I miss a hand but really annoying, at least once every 10-15 minutes.Any suggestions on what I should do to check things out on my end? Thanks for the help!!!

    Wine Thread

Kurt it does go in to deep April, but the Super Sweet deals I was talking about will go quick, today I stopped in at 10, and there were 20 or so cases of the $4 Italian wine I was talking about, I didn't have time to buy every thing then so I stopped back later in the day and they were down to around 10 cases. So yes for the advertised specials they will have it for a while but the others will be hit or miss.

Yes Clubhouse is at Oak Brook Mall, right near Lefty's new place, we will have to all get together some Monday soon. Also all CHICAGO wine drinkers, Binny's is having another pretty sweet sale. The advertised stuff is decent, but if you go to the store they had some unbelievable specials, that weren't in the ad.An Italian Wine that Keith did recommend. 2003 Altesino rosso $4 instead of $20And a 2001 La Jota Cab Franc from Napa for $12 instead of $46. (Kurt even you can afford these:)) jkHuskers20

    Wine Thread

This is for Kdawg and all of Chicago should consider.Last night went to Clubhouse where they have half price wine on Monday, anything on list, so we went kind of big.First2002 Gaja "mistral" (i think) was listed as a Super Tuscan. WOW, it was amazing. Keith, what else compares to this would prefer less than 60, which this might be it was 75 at half, but as a Cali mainly drinker this might have been my favorite European wine.We then had a 2002 Heitz Cabernet which was also awesome, and then since dessert was not yet served 2003 Mount Veeder Cabernet. Remember all at half off:)So, Keith let
