  1. I fold here. He showed strength in his raise to 350, and then further strength and disregard for your hand with his reraise to put you all in. My logic for folding is based on my belief that I can outplay others once the blinds get big. That's the strength of my game. And I don't give myself a chance to go to my strength if I call here. If I call here I'm either behind Aces or Kings, or my best case scenario is probably a coinflop with Ace King and I don't want to coin flip here. We all play differently and I wouldn't necessarily disagree with PP or Aseems stuff. Alot of players try
  2. The only thing I'd add here is that if I was the big blind and saw your push, I might think your hand was weaker than say if you bet most (but not all) of your stack. Obviously it depends on the table, but I see way too many players pushing with marginal hands in this spot cause they clearly don't want the call. It's the smaller raises that often have the big pocket pairs behind them.
  3. I agree with OP. Obviously it wouldn't be as interesting to the fish, but watching the hands without knowing the cards (or just seeing one person's cards) would be a much better learning tool for people trying to take their game to the next level. As long as you can see the cards afterwards and go back over the hand.
  4. This is all true. You can't be afraid of getting knocked out. This is also why it's so important to play within a comfortable bankroll range. If I need to finish in the money to get my buyin back, I'm not going to play my best poker. I finish on the bubble many many nights but I've also won a few MTT's so it balances out. Last night I got knocked out like 20th in a a 600+ person tourney. I had like 25 thousand chips and could have hung out and moved slightly up on the payout list. But I wasn't looking to finish 15th. I wanted 1st. I got all my chips in there with the best hand and got
  5. Light a match to ignite the methane next time. If he tries to stop you, he's bluffing. If he stays and you see a flame, fold immediately.
  6. I'll grind on you anytime. Eric Neis style. Does anyone get that reference?I went to high school with Eric Neis. We all thought he was gonna be the most famous alumni until Ricky Solomon filmed his thing with Paris Hilton.Only at that school can my playing poker make me respectable.wtf are they teaching there? And how do I enroll? And to think that everyone always makes fun of New Jersey...I guess they're teaching how to make alot of money without having a real career.

  8. Good post Marion. To all the meatheads- I sat next to Clonie in a satellite tourney at Binions last year and it really was distracting. I defintely agree that she's hot. But what I don' get is the urge to mock Kathy Liebert. Does that really make you feel better about yourselves to say mean things? What you'll learn someday when you grow slightly older is that the really successful people in life don't talk like that. It's the losers who talk.
  9. One other point- what happens if Daniel keeps pushing all in and starts winning hands? Does his emergency keep waiting? Get up and leave the table if you have an emergency!I'm sure Daniel wasn't trying to cheat but the classy move would have been to let his remaining chips blind off. I don't care if it's for 10 dollars or 10,000. Anything else screws with the integrity/fairness of the tournament.

I always loved to smoke and play on the internet but my new thing is to smoke and then go play live. It's the real reason I wear sunglasses at the table. In fact it's become my new schtick. Whenever someone inevitably makes the "why are you wearing sunglasses?" comment, my answer has become because I'm really high and don't want you to see my eyes. As a tight player, I find that I actual get way more calls high. Must be that I seem like I'm high.
  11. I usually play at UB and comparatively the games are very very soft at poker room. Unlike UB, you can limp in on poker rooms no limit games and see flops cheaply.
  12. Right. But the payment processing centers are often U.S. companies and there's gotta be an amount that triggers the IRS.We're never going to get in trouble for online gambling. But at some point many of us could get "Al Caponed" for the tax part.
  13. How do you guys deal with taxes on winnings? I'm not talking about a couple hundred bucks but rather if you were to cash out in the thousands. Since it's online poker, there's obviously a paper trail. Do you set aside a portion of the funds till next April?
  14. I saw something similar to this happen when I was playing at the Mirage and the floor guy came over and had the dealer reshuffle the remaining cards (that had fallen) and finish dealing out the hand.
  15. I know that picking on France gets you alot of pussy at your young republican conventions but you seem to be describing another country that also hosts WPT events.
