  1. Phil has been the most aggressive and the most active this week, and has brought oodles of entertainment. The LC sucked but this was one of the better weeks overall. When did Prahlad have plastic surgery, or is it just the clean haircut?
  2. I just thought that beating people with soap filled socks is a fairly well known display of ridiculous that no one would actually advocate. I mean, hello- Full Metal Jacket? Who hasn't seen that? Given all my posts, and how I have advocated a live and let live approach, I will look at yours if you look at mine if you will, I can't see how anyone would actually think I was advocating a soap sock beating. Maybe the reference is too dated, maybe I should have made a curb stomping joke. I'm going to also take you to task on the no humor, I mean come on, I started off with Michael W. Smith song and
  3. Oooohhh, common ground. That is coming soon. Maybe this has happened to you, yesterday I did a search for Katy Perry+ (random naughty word) and I found this great pick, I clicked on it and my computer immediately starts going apeshit, starts downloading some kind of malware, I hit the eject button and turned it off, and got lucky. Last time that happened I had it on in safe mode for 2 hours cleaning up the damage. Lesson not learned, and I am sure once my Cyrus guilt subsides this shit will happen again.
  4. Yeah, it's tough for dry wit to come across on the internet. I apologize if anyone thought I actually wanted them beaten with socks full of soap, even though I made multiple posts talking about acceptance and working together, and it's a pretty blatant reference to a well known movie. I'm sorry if no one got that. My bad. It may be your bad but I will take the blame.
  5. Story was made up. Just painting a picture for the people that are actually talking about this issue. Like I said, this has been a fun conversation but I don't think any more can really be said, unless you just want to sling insults for awhile. That will be all you, just not into it these days. Waste of my time.
  6. I would argue that both are relative to the overall mission. No matter what door you choose a lesson is most likely learned and character/strength is built. Anybody who is cool with something with a religious twist slakes their thirst, while those with a desire to show that they don't get behind that shit get to flex muscles as well. I just find it interesting- let me draw you a picture. When I was a kid my dad would not let me go to Sex Ed. This did not sit well with the school, so they told my dad if I was not allowed to attend they would make me sit in a classroom by myself with a few other
  7. I've enjoyed talking to everyone in this thread, except you. Everyone else has made comments and brought lines of thought that are interesting to me, and looking at this from different angles has been enjoyable. You could, if you wanted, try and actually converse but as long as you take this douchey line I'm just going to ignore you like you deserve. Think of me as telling you to suck a dick without actually tell you to do so, as it's not constructive in any real way. But, yeah, suck a dick, son.
  8. Maybe a continued focus on protection and education. If we could get guys in Africa to put a bag on we knock out like 80% or more of the AIDS problem world wide. True story.
  9. Many places, every day is educating when you can open your mind. Like, when maybe you can like, not immediately sit inside your "Christianity bad" box or "Islam bad" box and, like, think outside of it. It's amazing the lines of thought you can take when you can let go of your hatred.
  10. Once again, I get that you are joking, but often death option 1 or death option 2 is a very real choice in the military.Forgive me, but it's like most of you have no clue at all as to what it means to not have any control over your own life, or at least not much control. Quick question, if one were to say no to orders to go to Iraq based on the fact that one could not stand being on the same soil as those heathen brown people because of ones Religion, what do you think would happen to that person?
  11. It's not a punishment. It's an option, which only exists because your current master- which is what the military is- was good enough to give you another choice. I think you are really not understanding how choice works. Think about this situation, and the pride that must have been felt by those who are not into the Christianity thing, how they were faced with a choice in that situation and they stood up for what the believed in, talk about character building! This whole thing is just beautiful, until one of them decided to whine about how he wished he was given a better second choice. THAT dud
  12. I agree with this, the problem for them isn't that they care whether or not he is either, it's the wondering/frustration at how they managed to not make the public believe the harmless more whitey safe answer.
  13. I think he probably does but on his terms, like any other person who believes in a God but doesn't care to really be bothered with doing anything about it. He is in a tough spot, if all of the sudden he starts going to church it means nothing, it looks like what it is, better to stick with his way of doing things at this point.
  14. No, my point in that is that if you hated Christianity so much that you could not stand the thought of hearing a word than maintenance work is just awesome in comparison, making Door B not a punishment at all, but a viable, logical choice based on your personality and convictions.
  15. You jest, but this is my point. Door B is something. No penalty was levied, they said "Hey, Door A is a concert, Door B is maintenance work." The "punishment" in this case doesn't exist.
  16. My question is who cares? I had no idea it was a bad thing to be a Muslim. If Muslims should be accepted, who better than the president to bring that new dawn in? I don't get he angst in the media about this.
  17. We have different definitions of the word mandatory. For me, in the military when something is mandatory, there is no option B. You either do it or you will be court marshaled, thrown in jail, or you may not even be in the military anymore. This was clearly not the case here, so in my mind it was not mandatory. You had door A and B, just because door B was not as good as door A does not take away from the fact that 2 doors existed, not to mention if one was so dead set against door A then door B is a beacon of light.Considering the source, I'll just ignore the personal attacks.
  18. Respectfully, without knowing her but just having read about her, I think it's safe to say that DN's late mother would not be happy that he said that about a woman, any woman. Always a safe barometer to live by, what would Mommy say? That being said, from my own perspective, what's that whole thing about if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it? In this whole silly saga DN's would do well to just turn the other cheek for awhile, that's assuming he has been slighted. Getting all up in arms because someone claims to be the best at something is just silly at best.
  19. I will give him a plus 1 for jobs finally created, 9 to be exact:http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/08/23...test=latestnewsWell done, Mr. President.
  20. You and I are going to get along. I like this line a lot.
  21. Sigh- I can't stress enough how dissapointing it is that soldiers would be such unabashed pussies. Just no other word for it, completely indefensible, and if I was them I would refrain from looking in a mirror for the rest of my living days, knowing that all I will see is a giant pink vagina.
  22. I will say it again- if it was a Muslim event set up I would expect those that were not Muslims to go and be a team player. I have been to multiple organizations religous functions, met all kinds of people, and did not agree one bit with what I heard or saw. But,it was still interesting, I got to know people a bit better, reached across the aisle if you will, all good things. Some of you act as if listening to someone talk about Christ is some sort of poison, like it can enter your bloodstream and once you hear it you are doomed to follow, it's just a total position of fear. Maybe, instead of
  23. I did- it was set up, an activity, to do as a group. If you did not want to you could do something else. The thing is, in the military, you are not your own. You do no longer are your own property, you do as the military says. So, for the military to even offer another choice is huge, a compromise if you will. And, once again, I want to stress the idea that in the military you are no longer an individual. You are a unit. There is absolutely no reason why those within the unit could not sit through a freaking concert. This is so trivial its sickening, and with any luck some pussies got beat dow
  24. I agree with this statement quite a bit, but what I ask myself is this: do they in turn have some responsibility to not piss us off? Or is it just bending over backwards? I agree with you, and I like the sentiment, but it must work both ways, don't you agree?
