  1. I think Johnny Chan will, and Daniel might be in a bit of trouble with that one. I am also concidering the challange, but I need to find some spare change, digging through the couch now to see what I can come up with.
  2. Actually the other thing that she did that caused me some concern was when she walked in the other day and I was playing a tournement she looks at the screen and says: "Ace King on the flop". I just chuckled till I realized that there was actually an ace and a king on the flop.
  3. I might need help. So I was just browsing the site when my two year old walks in and says thats Grantu natandu. Its not too late: www.gambelersannonymous.com of course if I go there they might not let me play the WSOP.
  4. Somebody has to win the main event. Never think about it as if you don't think you can do it. Always think that if someone is going to do it...why not you?I'm thinking that if you want a shot at some big money...play the Pot Limit Omaha world championship $10,000 buy-in. Smaller field but probably worth the investment if you can play the game.I agree stick with Omaha, because I already have the Holdem Championship locked up. Who cares if there are 5000 people. I play events with 1 and 2 thousand people fields online all the time, ok so there might be a few more pros in the WSOP than in the
  5. Yes Headphones are fine, just don't be one of those bung holes who listens to music and doesn't pay attention. "Hey Hey Hey Hey buddy its your turn"
  6. My advice is not to go, because if you think your game is "flawless" then you probably don't know jack crap about poker, and will get your butt kicked. Save your money for when you finally learn enough to know that your game is not flawless.
  7. Dude that is hilarious I've got this rap dude speaking Greek.
  8. You must not have read the part of this thread where Dimitiri lays out that Hassan stood to gain more in his 50% stake in Tuan, then if he were to have to split winning the tournement with all of his backers. It's funny because I remember waking up in the morning and reading the results thinking what the hell. How did Hassan blow that big of a lead. I don't know for sure what happend, and we probably never will, but something definitely smells fishy.
  9. To late Demetriou! I actually posted this on April 28th under the tournament poker section prior to this thread being started and prior to that on another website.I think that Daniel will comment as soon as he gets out of his rehab meeting, but I'd like to hear TL's or HH's comments on this matter lol. Maybe that's why Hassan is always sweating.
  10. Dude, Harry friggin' Demetriou just posted! This is too big and too important a topic to simply ignore and is obviously of great concern to a large number of people.Perhaps Daniel himself will comment in time as no doubt he was indirectly involved via his association with Hassan Habib (if indeed he had a piece of him this year) but then again maybe he would prefer not to comment at all as anyone commenting on this subject either way appears to be in a no win situation. As for my own comments I will always speak out on subjects like this and actually posted on this subject elsewhere prior to this
  11. I am planning to build my bankroll at the WSOP lol. $15 - 10 Mil. I will be starting a new $15 race to 10 million thread this summer.
  12. Good god man, what do you think collusion IS? Secret hand signals a la "Tilt"? In tournament poker, players intentionally not busting one another is essentially the entirety of the collusion problem! It's not collusion, it's just not mixing it up with one of your partners. Wow, that takes balls of steel. "It's not murder, it's just issuing pieces of lead at high velocity that happened to tear through someone's flesh. If they died well that's just something that happens. What can you do." Both those statements may (or may not) be true but if you're equating that with "then it's A-OK" then...
  13. He does have a point. When I played the $285 satelite at the Bellagio, to get into the super satelite, I looked across the table and saw one of the guys who finished fifth at the WSOP a few years back. I thought to myself what the hell is he doing here, then I looked to the tables around me and noticed quite a few familiar faces. Fact is most of these pros don't buy directly in. If you read Josh Arieh's blog a few weeks ago he was talking about how he was heads up in a satelite for the WPT Championship. Oh by the way in the WPT super satelite that I played, it was definitely the most diff
  14. Anyone can win! That is the elure of this event. If you want to go play a 25K event then go play the WPT Championship. This is the World Series of Poker I wish the pros would stop trying to duck dead money. They should never limit the field, and the buyin is already aproaching the price of an economy car, so I think that is sufficient. If the riff raff want to come play I say let em in. I don't care how many people I have to go through I am winning the damn thing this year. You heard it here first, in July someone will dig up this post with a tear in there eye, and say I knew that guy w
  15. I wonder if we were in the same $5.50 satellite - blinds were at 10K and 20K and I was about to be UTG+2 with about 18K in chips. So I was ok as we were down to 37 players (35 win seats) and I felt that I could last 3 more hands. But then, we get to 36 players; I get moved to a new table and instead of being UTG+2, I'm in the BB and all-in. Terrible luck! The big stack was in the CO but thankfully he folded and it folded around to me in the BB; I "won" the hand and that was the last hand as someone went out in 36th.I still have the 160W$ as I didn't feel like playing the DS at 10:15 p.m. wes
  16. The key hand actually came in the $5.50 satelite to get in to the double shootout, the blinds were 10K and 20K I had 10,500 left and entered the big blind. The smal blind FOLDED for $500 more, although he had plenty of chips. People were asking me if I knew him or something, nope but he is my best friend now. I might have made it in anyway being that was the last hand, but him folding didn't hurt my chances. One of the hands that was quite interesting happend at my first table I was really up in chips on the other two guys, and felt that I could put it away when I floped two pair. We both
  17. I won a seat into the $10,000 buyin championship (july 7th - 15th). My wife thinks that I am kidding when I tell her that I am going to win the world series (ok so I have a few people to work through, and I just can't take a bad beat for FIVE DAYS). I have been telling her for months. She keeps saying, "let's concentrate on just getting a seat first". Well last night the look on her face was hilarious.I definitely plan on representing FCP. I have a laptop with cell card, so I will have someone post updates on my progress during the event.
  18. It was on stars in the Double Shootout. I won the $5.50 Satelite for $15. I am 31, so just barely of age lol. Oh someone asked my screename, and although I hate to say it in case I have talked crap to any of you online my name on PS is: SoftwareTest. I apologize in advance to anyone from FCP that I have offended. You see I occasionally turn into Smash when playing poker. It's really all in fun though.
  19. dude are you going to the World Cup? I'm entering the ticket drawing, as soon as I get my mastercard! I was seriously debating it because of the WSOP, but Isn't the World Cup in June and the WSOP in July??By the way PrtySux let me where his slippers during the tourney so I think that is actually what helped me win the seat.
  20. After a two week downswing tonight made up for it all. I AM GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!I won my seat plus the $1,000 in the double shootout. Wow I can hardly believe it.
  21. Now that we have all of the details on the hand, he should not have committed 1/4 of his chips with a small suited connector in the first place, but once he did and hit the open ended I think it was a good move to move in there, because it was still difficult for the guy to call him with top pair, and very likely that everyone missed that board. By the way to play perfect poker for 5 days without making mistakes is an incredibly difficult thing to do.
  22. Dude I saw that guy the other day, and while he looks like a super nice guy, I am quite certain that he could take on any one of us, or possibly all of us at the same time.
  23. Just playing in the super satelite with them was amazing. TJ was sitting behind me the entire day, along with several of the other big names, at my table, and tables around me. That being said you have to focus on poker, and do the fan thing when you are finished.
  24. You know meeting Mike Sexton the other day, I really think the guy is a pretty good guy. I even gave him crap about how he played on that WPT Authors show, and he took it all in stride. He really did seem to take over the room when he walked in, and this was a room filled with poker greats like Doyal, TJ, Daniel, E-dog, Devilfish, etc. Sometimes he says things that are pretty lame, like if one of the players gets away with a bluff he is a great player, but if he gets called down it was a bad play, but all in all I think he does a great job.
