If I'm against more than 1 player, I play these hands extremely cautiously postflop. I felt like I could do that at this table. The villain is a pretty standard, cautious playe
  2. Cunningham lost alot more BB's than Chan did, though. To be fair, his was a slightly dryer board.
  3. Just out of curiosity, how would you guys maximize the profit out of a hand like that? r/c the flop, c/c the turn, rrrrrrr the river? I have no idea btw, although I think that that line may have been slightly better than the OP's.
  4. I did a soul read on the villain based on the action in your first post and I think he has AQ, so I say fold it.
  5. My main problem is that I don't understand Razz odds. I generally only play 7 lows, (unless it's 3rd street and everyone behind me has higher cards of course), I just raise when I have a good hand, check/call when I'm drawing to a good hand but they have a good board, fold when I hit bad twice and they don't, fold if their board is amazing and I might be drawing to a worse low. Obviously I play more cautiously vs. players who don't show down with pairs/face cards in their 3rd street. Is there any shorthand way of learning my odds of winning a hand? Or do I just need to plug in situations into a
  6. YES! The Who are fantastic! Moon is my 2nd favorite drummer ever (2nd only to Bill Bruford).
  7. Looshle, do you always fold KK? If I bet into you on a board like that, would you fold KK cause you assume I always have a full house or a Jack? I suppose the argument hinges on whether or not Chan would have folded to a flop raise. Judging from the action, it looks like he would've, and that's what makes the fold so stunning. Cunningham's fold, while very good, isn't nearly as impressive 'cause he lost alot of money.
  8. I plan on giving Tom Waits a shot at some point. I've heard that his career is really varied -- what would be the best first album to get? (I don't buy greatest hits collections)
  9. They should just make the Main Even winner-take-all imo.
  10. I was going to bring up that it was a pot sized bet, not a small bet. I disagree though; still categorize it as amazing.
  11. There is some music that works as "thinking music" for me.Talking Heads (Remain In Light, specifically), King Crimson, and Brian Eno are what I listen to occasionally. Usually I don't do that at all when playing poker though.
  12. Ah, okay. I watched it. Perhaps Chan was able to tell by the way Huck looked at him. Looking in his direction was a bad idea I suppose.I watched the video like 10 times in a row, mesmerized. This seriously makes me want to either turn pro or quit poker forever. Lol.
  13. Oh my God. I've never seen anything in poker quite like that.Daniel said that Chan will look at your hands, your throat, etc. Perhaps Huck Seed had a big neck pulse going. In this case, Chan knows that he's beat, because one jack beats him and Huck wouldn't have the adrenaline rush with only one six. That's the only explanation I can come up with. That video truly blew my mind. He doesn't even make a big deal about it either, just plays so well. What a cool guy.I'm still reeling a little. Christ. Any other videos like this that you guys can link me too?
  14. That's an interesting insight, Highway. I accounted for the raise and call in front of me, but wasn't thinking about the two to act behind me. Well, I'm glad I posted here and it was brought up.What actually happened was I tanked for a bit, then called. The two people behind me folded. I was hoping that they were raising/calling with a pair of sixes and/or sevens, since I can't realistically expect a Queen with a worse kicker to show up. (Although you never know in these crazy tournaments)The raiser showed a set of sevens, and the caller had a KQ -- ouch, clobbered by both. Terrible call. I wi
  15. I've made 15 threads, have less than 200 posts, and none of them had flames in them. :PI have had threats of flames though, in some. And some other near-misses.
  16. Thanks for taking my advice into consideration, and DO YOU REALIZE THAT YOU JUST POSTED FOUR TIMES IN. A. ROW?!!!!!!!?!?!?!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......?
  17. I still think I owe you 2.20. I'm gonna ask how they are doing it next time someone makes a stake thread.
  18. Out in 31st. Ad Qh > Ah Kh AIPFMissed a bunch of huge draws early on and got shortstacked, then I won two key coinflips. Pulled off several successful bluffs, made one costly one that cost me 2k, but I'm happy to say I never got my chips in bad. Thanks for the stake. Just wasn't meant to be this time.

  22. Tournament 115203230account name is mr.p.macI've never been staked before, but shouldn't you be staking me 2.20 into a 4.40? You pay half the buy in and get half the winnings. That's the way I always thought it worked.Anyways, wish me luck!
  23. Thanks man. I'll play it tomorrow since it's getting late.By the way, you accidentally sent 4.40. Want 2.20 of it back?
  24. Well, everybody seems to have a positive impression of Colin Powell (including me) so his endorsment would be a major boost to either candidate. It's pretty rare for a major power figure to be as well liked as he is.
