  4. I can understand both sides of the debate. But as I was trying to make this point in another thread, The long run is great and all but when you're sitting down with 5 or 6 donks who constantly chase, you're going to great cracked ALOT in the short run.
  5. In comparision to how i run usually in california, YES. Very much so. The thing is I wasn'treally getting extrodinary cards. I was just making extrodinary plays on the right players.Everyone knows you can't bluff a novice.
  6. You, sir, obviously don't know california players
  7. This comment is exactly what I was talking about with the mentality of most players.I understand what you are saying, and you're right. However if you're playing with6 or 7 of these players at your table you're hands aren't going to hold up. Just likehow you know your pocket aces aren't going to hold up vs. 6 callers. Don't you thinkit would be better to play with weak players who are afraid of putting their money in?I guess it goes both ways. I think the best analogy I can think of is...If you drive in Chinatown everyday you'll eventually get hit. Yeah, you might have insurance and you may be
  8. Well like everybody else I'm getting a stake together and head'in for Vegas this summer.Last year I went and dominated every game I played. I think its because the players areso different in comparison to california players. There were two kinds of games I playedlast year. Games with weak players and games with really good players. I did great in both.I dominated the weak players and out played the really good players. Those of you who play in california, especially in LA. Know what I'm talking about when I sayits really hard to get someone to laydown a hand out here. Gutshots, flush draws, bo
  9. limit is a completely different game. although position is still important, imo starting hands are key.its a drawing game. everyone is going to chase...I HATE THAT! and for that reason refuse to play limit.i think it really only begins to be poker at the 15/30 level or 20/40 level. or maybe if you play limit tourneys. if you're looking for ways to improve your game focus on the little things that you would have notthought of. for example, pick up a deck of cards and continuously put out flops, turns & rivers.Read the board to whole time and read whats the nuts 2nd nuts, 3rd nuts, etc...It'
  10. It would probably be very similar to a hold'em tourney. We would have a predeterminedblind set that everyone would post. Winner of each hand takes all blinds. Until only 1 of4 players remains. Blinds Doubling every 30 minutes. Winner of each table plays the finaltable with other remaining winners.
  11. IMO, slow rollers are amongst the scum of the earth. I hate them with a passion. Along with the freakin idiotswho always ask to see the loosing hand. I've got a million slow roll'in stories but my most recent one was a fewdays ago at Hawaiian Gardens Casino here in So Cali. I was the chip leader with about $600 in front of me. Itwas a limp pot all the way around and the small blind raises $25. I call in the big blind with pocket 10s. as does3 other callers. Flop comes A73 with a club draw. It gets checked all the way around to the button who pushs hislast $55. Original raiser folds in the smal
  12. Not only is it my favorite game but also my best game. I don't know if any of youout there have played Pusoy Dos aka Big 2, Thirteen, etc... But its a beautiful game. Its a game where you can be dealt the nuts and if you don't know what you're doingyou can still loose. I learned to play this game back in college by a few of the asainguys who would always hang out in the student center. Not much later, is when I startedplaying hold'em. I've always been interested in seeing this game in a tournament setting.I'd like to see how many of you would be interested in participating if I were to host one
  13. Hey guys, sorry... I didn't make it in... PIAB... read your inbox...
  14. Crap! I just got back from the restroom, I think I missed the Registration...Is the the six max shootout to the sunday million?
  15. kinglavi on Poker Stars Yorba Linda, CAkinglavi on Full Tilt Yorba Linda, CA
  16. Absolutely not. But when everyone pushs all in, it eliminates the composure of skill.even with aces, you're not gonna win if everyone is all in...you know this.
  17. I don't think there is a way for me to unregister. I've heard you can do that on poker stars, but this is Full Tilt...I actually have to register for the event and my ticket is automaticly inthere, I don't even think there is a way for me to transfer the ticket. I've tried looking. Evenmy FTP points, (which I don't have very much of) I've tried to see if there was a way I couldtransfer them, but I couldn't really find anything. If anyone knows anything about this let meknow...romoking
  18. I played a freeroll on Full Tilt for a Main event seat. I took 1st of 450.On to round 2 later today... I'm just excited because I've played about100 of these freerolls and its pretty hard to get past all the donkeyspushing with junk. Anyway, has anyone played these perticular eventson Full Tilt? How are the players in round two? Are they still donk'in?Or do they play any better in round 2? Hopefully I'll be onto round 3in a couple of days...romoking
  19. It was like I said, Since he pushed on the river I thought he had to have me beat. Which he didn't.I'm asking if you guys would have made the laydown on the river...I still have no answer...As to making a nut straight with suited connectors...a flop of 678 would have given me the secondnut straight, so are you telling me you don't call or play a K high flush? A second nut straight makessense to me, no?
  20. To me a suited connector is a hand you can make a straight flush with... but I guess everyone has a different opinoin.
  21. I don't think I really have to defend my actions for calling with 9d5d. 5 to 1 odds preflop + position.Yeah, its an inferior hand to his but really...You guys gonna tell me that you never sucked out witha suited connector? What I'd like is for someone to honestly tell me what they would have done on the river...Not tell me what they think of what I called with...Can someone really give me an honestanswer, I'm not close minded to criticism, just non insulting ones would be better...
  22. So I was playing at Hawaiian Gardens, a local casino here in LA. At this point I'dbeen playing for about 9 hours, I was in for 3 bullets in $300 buy'in game. I hadbeen playing very well. The only reason I was in for 3 bullets was because I hada nemisis who would always make his draw on the river. Anyway I get 9d5d onthe button and limp in. A very tight strong player in the big blind makes it $25 togo. 4 callers, and I call...Flop comes 8d 2s 2d. Big blind makes it $60. Everyonefolds around to me and Since I hadn't seen him play many hands and wasn't sureif a raise would take it down, I flat ca
  23. Well, I'm the bubble boy... Pair of QQ vs. a 10 high flush on the turn...what a great 4 1/2 hours spent.31st out of 2700, not to bad I guess...Thanks for the rail Potatoman!...LOL...
  24. So I'm playing a $100.00 freeroll on Full Tilt. My position is 146 of 783 with 9600 in chips. The average stack is about 5000. 1st place takes a whopping $15.00!! If you're boredyou can rail for me, haha.... j/k... I'm sure everyone has better shit to do...kinglavi on full tilt, if you don't...
