Yeah I just finished reading this as well. This is my first time reading a McCarthy novel and I actually enjoyed his sparse style of writing. You're right on the vocab, sometimes I was lazy and just didn't make an effort to figure out what the words meant so I might've missed some stuff while reading. I might actually make an effort to go see the movie, even though I have a feeling it'll diverge a bunch from the book. Hopefully they can maintain the tone of the book.

The game on January 11th game at Wake will be a test for the team. Wake is very athletic and quick so it'll be interesting to see how good we are defending that. I'd be kinda discouraged if we just won a shootout because as we all know, inadequate defense will almost never win a national title. And plus, its really really hard to sweep Dook and we might just have one of those inexplicable off nights like the game v. Maryland last year.

My month:Whee best month ever, 2k+ and another 800+ in rakeback/bonuses. Started the month at 25nl, made the move up to 50nl which was successful except the last session. I think I improved a ton this month which is mainly due to talking poker with a variety of people, reviewing sessions, watching videos, and usually not tilting while playing. Reading the Challenge Thread helped as well. Goals for next month are probably just get better and grind 50nl. Gl everyone3 papers due this week and exams starting, shoot me in the face.

Check the hands where you're all in, also known as the luck graphs I think, to see how much you're truly down in equity. I don't think Sklansky Bucks and Showdown winnings are indicative of that and can be more an indicator of how you play. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I think 1-5 I still like the '05 team better. But 1-9, even without Zeller, this team is stacked. Our bench depth is gonna wear a ton of teams down this year, it's just like waves of super high quality players coming at you; it has to be disheartening for the other team. Once Ginyard gets back, it's gonna be even better even though now I'm starting to be of the opinion that Green should start because I think he might be the second or third best offensive option on the team.As to how good this team can be, I guess we'll just have to wait till March to find out.

Tough road test next week at Michigan St. so who knows. I'm pretty sure the team won't go unscathed through the regular season and I think that's probably for the best. Very impressive showing against ND tonight though, that McAlarney guy just went crazy and we still beat a top ten team by double digits.

You're right. I deposited last Thursday and using the MGR stat in Pokertracker I have $335.5 in MGR since last Thursday and I've cleared $114 of the bonus and $90.6 of rakeback which works out to be roughly 66% rakeback. Pretty sick, I didn't know that it worked out to be so much money back.

From what I've heard, stubhub is pretty reliable as long as you're willing to pay a decent amount. Try going to the Indiana athletics website and seeing if there are any single game tickets available. Another option is craigslist if you live near Bloomington.

According to my calculations using my PT tracker stats of 147k hands of 25nl on Full Tilt, rakeback turns out to be about .7 cents per hand. Using your hand totals from that graph that would result in roughly 560 dollars of rakeback which means you would be even imo. Now I don't know how much you get from Poker Stars program, but I'm pretty sure rakeback from FT is gonna cushion your losses a lot. Yeah but I was at the State game and stayed till the bitter end. Hearing the Wolf-Pack chant across Kenan stadium while they were up 41-10 truly made me want to stab myself in the eye. Tell me that we're 8-4 at the beginning of the season I'd take it in a hearbeat. However, tell me that at midseason when we only have one loss and a pretty easy schedule ahead of us and I wouldn't be the slightest bit happy.
