Stu Ungar: Legend, Yes. Role Model, No!

I think we here is coming from the money management thing, Was stuey's massive sports betting problem and anything gambler degen related. The guy had a lot of obstacles to over come. While im sure he was a great player. I also dont think he would have made it to the "big game". Due to his lack of ability to manage his money. He would constantly play higher and higher and blow his winnings on sports betting. So even without his drug addiction i think he would be in the same fate as say Eskimo clark. But this is all hey say as we would never know. -
my reading is so in tuned i even know what he ate for breakfast. Then still ask what he had

was a good read the first time through looking forward to the second.

couldnt agree more with this response, I watched it awhile ago and every time the kid was all in he was behind. There was not one time he put his money in good. Then was a classless act when gus busted his ass.

I always read things like this and the only place it seems to stay true is Stars and full tilt. The player fields of tourneys where i play live or online are usually in the 50-100 range. So i think needing 200 buyins is way to conservative. I think it would be safe to say 50 is about all you need even if your making a living doing it. Espeically these soft lower buyin live tournaments. The play is atrocious and easily crushable by even a mediocre player for a good RoI%. While this article is sound advice, I am just not a fan of the huge fields that stars has.

Actually profits to bankroll are similar for 1/2 nl. I havnt ran the numbers yet but i bet with a 10 buyins your RoI will be pretty low. with a 22PTBB/100. As far as the 2/5 statement i dont have the numbers for it so you have me there. But the 1/2 numbers i do have are very solid.
