  1. but the thing is, is that Ed Miller wouldn't advocate you call here at all. You aren't pushing a made hand or a strong draw. YOu are drawing to 6 outs and you aren't getting the odds. Even if you do hit your hand, there are many edraws agasint you. It is not inconcieveable that one of the villians has a set to, which brings up another redraw that can beat your hand other than the flush draw. The hand offically sucks with all of this action, and you will be losing more money in the long run making this call and chasing this down then you would by hitting it. If all of our outs were clean, it'd
  2. Completely disagree. You have 6 outs. It's almost a given at this point someone has a flush draw. Even if they don't, you have to play like there could be one or you'll wind up paying one off far too often. Not only do you need to hit a 6 outter, you then need to dodge ALOT of bullets for the river. 9 diamonds, and 8 more unseen cards pair the board.SB almost certainly has 2p / set, as virtually nothing else can cap with 3 people behind. UTG could easily have rags or just MP/TP and was trying to steal, I'd put MP1 on a comperable hand to SB or one hell of a draw (67d, 69d, etc). Factoring out
  3. hand 1 - call and see the turn. unless the 3rd flush card drops i would see the river too. the pot is way too large and you have a great draw.hand 2 - 3 bet this flop and lead the turn no matter what comes. flop raiser could be looking for a free card on the turn and you most probably have the best hand. even if flush card comes you still have a king high flush.
  4. came across this today. ed miller makes some good points.http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthre...=&view=&sb=5&o=
  5. no way in hell do you make that call. the chances of you getting your dream flop that came are slim. let the shorter stacks take care of themselves and pick a better spot to bully.
  6. hand 1 - 3 bet the flop and lead the turn if the button doesn't cap it.hand 2 - looks fine.hand 3 - C/R the flop and hope to get everyone trapped for 2 bets. C/C the turn and river.hand 4 - looks fine.
  7. i suck at playing overs as well but......... my advice israise that flop and at least find out where your at. this short handed i think its either a raise or fold scenario.
  8. raise it.KQo is way to good of a hand to fold/call. if you get 3 bet proceed with caution.
  9. raise KJ pre-flop from any position.bet the flop. if you get raised pull a stop and go (call then C/R the turn)if he just calls the flop bet, lead the turn.not too comfortable raising KJo yet. although i suppose im probably best here with 2 limpers.
  10. I virtually never slow play but I figured if i can't slow play this hand then what can I slow play? Am I right? It was a loose table and i was almost positive someone would bet the flop.Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converterPreflop: slowplayer is SB with :clubsj: :heartsk: UTG calls, 3 folds, slowplayer completes, BB checks.Flop: (4 SB) :hearts2: :clubsk: :spadesk: (4 players)slowplayer checks, BB checks, UTG checks, MP2 bets, slowplayer calls, BB folds, UTG calls.Turn: (3.50 BB) :hearts10: (3 players)slowplayer checks, UTG checks, MP2 bets, UTG calls, MP2 calls.River: (9.50
  11. Maybe, Brantford is really close to me right now (Kitchener/Waterloo) But I know nothing but that they have 9 poker tables? Is it limit or NL? DOES ANYBODY KNOW? I NEED TO GAMBLELLELELELELLLELELELE.14 tables in primetime (12 earlier in the day) spreading 2-5, 5-10, 10-20 and 20-40 all limit. if you are looking for nl action you need to head to the falls.on a side note i was at casino niagara this past weekend (the old casino) and their poker room is up and running and appears fairly nice with a spread of lower limits than fallsview.
  12. on the flop..... if we check and the PF raiser bets and is called by both the MP2 and the SB i think we are best to be calling here and waiting to CR on the turn.what does everyone else think?CR will mean that even if UTG folds there will be 9.5 BB in the pot on the turn.CC will mean that if everyone calls this flop bet there will only be 8 BB in the pot on the turn. lead out on the turn (or better yet raise if the SB leads) if its a non-heart and i think you will force out some lesser flush draws or top pair hands.
  13. i assume your talking about NL. if you are then you have to grow a set of nuts or else your going to get steam rolled over every table you play at.plain and simple. if thats not your style then maybe you should try sticking to limit holdem where you can't lose your whole buy-in in one hand.
  14. i've read both and i have to tell you i got nothing out of TJ & Tom's book. it was pretty much raise with big PP and fold if someon comes over the top of you.HOH on the other hand may teach a tight aggresive style but it is a lot more indepth and gives a world of reasoning behind all scenarios. the chapter quizzes are also very helpful.
  15. i have a baseball game tonite.
  16. is it possible he 3 bets with the nut flush draw?if i had him on a draw im raising this turn to see what happens.
  17. to the OP:a 40 BB is a normal swing and u should just chalk it up to variance. the first time i moved up to .50-1.00 i lost 80 BB in about 500 hands. 3 weeks later and im now playing 1-2.just hang in there and be patient.
  18. anyone pick this up yet? i pre-ordered off of amazon and still haven't recieved it. when i initially ordered it said expected shipping date of May 02/05.
  19. it may not be weak but it is played improperly as the OP realizes.
  20. if the button had a weak ace he should have his head examined for not betting the river. as for your check on the river, i think you will only be called (or raised?) by quads or a larger boat so the check is fine.
  21. . You can come back and play against "Shampoo" who I look forward to meeting someday.if your ever in ontario check out brantford casino. i believe he usually plays early in the morning and is gone before noon. (from what i've heard) i saw him there a couple of months ago playing 20-40 but didn't feel right about approaching him.
  22. for the people that recomend a CR PF: is this to isolate the early position limpers?
  23. why are u check raising this flop? your either pricing them in or giving them a free card to improve. i think you should of bet out on that flop and protected your hand.
