Idk about that. I guess it's marginal.

I didn't answer this question because it confused me how three players including the button all posted the same blind of 25, then you raised 24x the big blind. Clear that up for me, then I'll comment your preflop play.As for the second one, don't worry about that, you want players like that in your games. Occasionally they get lucky on you, and those are the times you remember more, but overall they are the reason we can be successful at these stakes.

Lol that's the second time this week you've liked my line so much to punctuate with an exclamation point. But, yeah if you decide you want to go all in, which I don't think is a bad play, since you are ahead of the villains range, I like the stop and go play a lot better than shoving pre. You gain sooo much more FE that way. Lets say he has 88 and you shove preflop. You're a 4 1/2 to 1 dog. But if you make up your mind that you're getting it all in, and you shove the flop of K Q 10, well now you're still alive when he folds, instead of still drawing to 2 outs with 2 to come. Also if he ha

I think that's way off. We're getting a call from AK and A Q here far more often than 25% of the time. Also I don't think J 10 is in our opponents preflop range too often either.

I guess Zach will put this in the tourney forum later or whatever.Welcome the Forum. With the KK hand, you definitely want to make a raise preflop. I usually go right around 2 1/2 times the BB late in tournaments. If you had made this raise, I'm assuming she would have folded and you would have won the pot, but let's assume you make it 500 to go, and she called. Now she has 2500 left and there is 1000 in the pot.Even though the ace is a scary card for you, I would still lead out for about 600. If she raises you, she is going to have to go all in and you can feel good about folding. If you sh

Blinds and Stack sizes please? I don't speak "M"I think I'm going to say stop and go, but let me get the details first.

Just because three aces are dead, doesn't mean it's impossible for him to have aces up here. KQ some people would probably raise. I think J 10 would probably smooth call, especially on a rainbow flop. And all of your references were assuming that the villain was a good player who knows our range. Calling an EP raise with J 10 is not a good player who knows our range. I think his range is far wider than J 10 to just give up.Folding is just too weak tight here.Somebody run this through pokerstove for me.

When someone leads for almost 2x the pot into four players, it's usually a safe assumption that he has top pair, third kicker beat.I hate the raise, a flop fold would have been the best option, and a p/f fold would have been better. It's good to see cheap flops when you can in multiway pots, but you have to be sure you have a good multiway hand. (Small PP, small suited connectors, if that's your style) Playing these easily dominated is just going to get you into trouble no matter what. Also stack sizes?

Any decent player knowing our range of hands wouldn't call an EP raise with J 10. There are waaaayyyyy too many hands the villain could have called our raise with, then raised with on the flop, to just assume he has the nuts, when he could easily be drawing dead.If you decide to shove, or slowplay, you should be doing it with the intention of getting the most money into the pot with a freaking set of aces. Those don't come around too often you know.
-
3.3 to 1 on your money, and your about a 5 to 1 dog, even worse since he probably has an ace, which is one of your outs. So you're not getting the right price, and you're not deep at all, so you have no implied odds if you river your gin card. I would fold. Also I think if you lead for $2 on the flop, you can try and get yourself a cheap turn, while preventing yourself from getting sandwiched like you did. I think you played this hand a little too passively IMO.

6max Nl I Fear For My Queens

Right but it doesn't say what the Button did, and the pot says there should be two players, the pot would be $130 if the button called. Then it says three players to the flop.I'm assuming its heads up b/c of the pot size, and if that is the case, I retract my C/F line. -

Is it heads up or three way? The HH dictates two different things. If it is heads up I like a $50 lead, then shutting down if he raises. Three way I still like my C/F line. -
QFT, I was thinking that too, but I just didn't say it. Hellmuth is sick enough to "trap" with a pair of sixes.

1/2nl Live. Deep Stacked
NEtwowilldo replied to linkwood's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
I'll admit that was the last hand I expected him to have here, lol.My first thought was that he had some sort of pair/draw combo, then improved to a flush draw on the turn, and thought that that meant he should just go all in. If he had a good made hand, like a set or a better two pair, I really can't see him jsut calling on the flop and letting an 8 or a Q roll off on the turn for free. I was going to say call before I read the results, and run it twice, cuz he has a big draw. But yeah don't worry about it cuz you can easily get all of his money later, if he is playing recklessly like that -

Two people called 20x the BB preflop, you don't think either one of them has an ace?? I don't mind checking and folding here, it saves you the most money. Can't win 'em all remember. -
Jj Postflop After A Reraise
NEtwowilldo replied to tripdeuces's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
It looks like he is trying to value bet you to death here. I would just call and re-evaluate on the turn. -
WHAT!?!? Seriously? I like calling then quickly checking, to look weak, draw a bet from our opponent, then he is potstuck. I think we are representing A J by taking that line. Pushing ain't so bad either though.
-
I love how Hellmuth shamelessly plugs all his new products. He is awesome though.
-
we have 960 left after posting the SB. A push and a fold will add 225 to our stack, almost 25%, and this will put us in better shape to sneak into the money than the other fellow who has about the same as us. Especially if he is a weak-tight, non stealer. I think against any calling range, pushing is +EV.
-
Me, cop, and simo got into a really long thread about this a few weeks ago. Basically the consensus was you have to call because you have a slight edge.I would give you the link to it, but I can't be concerned with all that effort. It's in tourney strat and it's called AK getting squeezed, RISE was the OP.
-
Meh, eleven outs twice you're probably behind but not that big of a dog. I think you can do whatever you want here, it would be better if the other play acted in front of us, because if he was calling, then I would say you shouid definitely get all your money in.

Ft Of Wsop Qualifier Facing Overbet Reraise
NEtwowilldo replied to Yahkin's topic in Tournament Play
This is probably the easiest fold I've read about in awhile. -
There have been several discussions and threads already as to whether or not he should have called.
-
Yeah I mean if you're pretty sure you're drawing dead then you shouldn't call $1 into a $1 Million dollar pot technically. And the villains line sure looks like a flush to me. Especially with blinds this low, you still have time to pick a good spot to double up.But then again I probably would have checked behind. As played though I don't think a fold is horrible play.
