  1. are you guys for real? was there just a 20 post argument about this? do you guys play poker?
  2. ** Dealing River ** [ 7d ] hero bets [$6]. fredoo calls [$6]. hero shows [ Jd, Ks ] two pairs, sevens and sixes. fredoo doesn't show [ 3s, 4s ] two pairs, sevens and sixes. hero wins $43 from the main pot with two pairs, sevens and sixes with kingkicker. you dont need to bluff. you need to play idiots who will call river bets with 4 high.
  3. why the hell would i? btw, i play 3-6 shorthanded as my primary source of income. this game is extremely beatable. i have 50k hands to back that up.
  4. incorrect. you can play more hands in this kind of game than you can in a tight game. do you see why?I disagree. If everyone is loose and going to flop the odds of you hitting your hand with something like J6 is much lower. Lets say you hit your J and there is still 7 more people in the pot and the flop if J K 9 (2 suits). You gonna jam the pot with 2nd pair knowing that anyone with a flush draw is gonna call when you are beat already by a possible straight, higher pair, or bigger kicker? When I play low limit, depending on position and pre flop action these are the only hands I play:Ax suiteda

  6. i know i just said i was going to be nice, but nowhere in that rambling post was there anything that could be considered a logical statement. We are all now dumber for having read it. i award you no points, and my god have mercy on your soul.
  7. I was going to let this die until I saw this post. Elaborate please. I'm dying to know why you play more hands in a loose aggressive game .because you are being laid a better price to take flops with speculative hands, and your implied odds are much better. also, and this one requires a little bit of speculation on my part, there is usually some horrible postflop play in these types of games which means you can play some hands which are normally marginally -EV since a skilled player can expect to make up the difference postflop. still dont understand? i apologize if i came off as rude before,

  9. I think I can guess what your breath is baited With!these DN avatars PWN. i wish i wasnt lazy/had avatar priviledges.
  10. the same hands that are always favored. its easy to beat this type of game. the 1 huge pot you rake in when you hit a flush makes up for everything else. And the other 7 pots you play , when you miss your hand, won't affect your rate either, not to mention reverse implied oddswe are assuming you play competently postflop and wont take your losing hands to the river, thus giving your opponents the worst implied odds possible. you really are way off base here. im not trying to be mean, but you are ignoring fundamental mathematical concepts like equity.
  11. many more hands become profitable in this kind of game than in a tight and aggressive game. you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. let me give you an example: billy has AA. he plays it against two tables. on both of these tables there is no betting postflop. you can only call or fold preflop. on table #1, which is tight, billy gets 1 caller. he wins 1$ 80% of the time for an average expectation of 80 cents. on table #2, which is loose, billy gets 9 callers. he wins 9$ 30% of time and loses 1$ 70% of the time. his expectation is [(9*3 -7*1)/10]=2$. lets recap:tight table: 80 cent
  12. what are you talking about? underdog? please explain to me how he is going in to every hand as an underdog. and if you tell me its because he is never better than 50% equity preflop im going to laugh at you. so you better have a more logical explanation than that.
  13. premium pairs go down in value, suited connectors go up. start playing more speculative hands in position, and dump big hands that dont connect well with the flop. in a game like this, 2 pair is often not going to be good. you want to be making straights and flushes. PS: depending on the rake, this game is very beatable.
  14. even better, you'll probably get 3 bet by Qx a bunch of the time. mmm, free money.
  15. im overcalling here, and the limp PF is pretty bad.
  16. I stand corrected.lolBack in the day (a month ago) when I gave shorthanded a try, I had a 150BB upswing in 1200 hands, then 170BB downswing in 800 hands. I felt like Iwas playing well, but since I was completely new to shorthanded play, some of it could easily have been from bad plays.jesus, what are you guys doing? capping every street every hand?
  17. whoa you are all over the map bro. im playing shorthanded with a high variance style and im NEVER having 175+bb swings in 1k hands.
  18. are you guys kidding? BANKROLL MANAGEMENT. I guarantee if you post what stakes you were playing and what your roll was when you went broke you will find your biggest leak.
  19. true, but would you expect a 4th bet on the river without one? im thinking 77, Qx or 6x. i just cant put in more than 5 without the stone cold nuts here.
  20. hand that will have to fold to many flops, gonna be OOP to at least 1 villain, could be very far behind, tough to find a reason to cap. flop line is fine.
  21. I call bullsh.itSend me the code and I'll let you know if you're full of it or notConsider the person who posted this comment. After you have been here awhile, you'll realize that the poster you responded to is nothing more than smoke and mirrors. I love how nonchalant he is about it. You are looking for code that doesn't exist, at least not any code that this jopker made.Oh no. Now I need to post up some code or Jeepster80125 won't believe me.Maybe if you knew censored about poker and/or programming you wouldn't be so ignorant. How about a nice game of chess?chess is a game of complete informa
  22. writing a bot algorythm that can beat a table of moderately competent players is ludicrously complicated. in fact, it probably cant be done without getting into neural networking and adaptive coding. if anyone here has written a bot, please put it in a game and tell me where so i can take its money.
