  1. cheetos, fritos, spaghetti covered in cheese and more cheese....oh, and who ever said anyone in this forum is classy??
  2. He wouldn't have written about it in his blog if he was completely devastated, I don't think... I do feel bad for the ex. I'd flip if someone drowned my kittie.
  3. OMG! I'm a cat-lover.....but that's kind of funny!! Read the part where he's running cold water on it because it's hot from the hot bath water! Man, that's sick....and funny. Sad....
  4. They play cards....not hold em though....They do have a casino in Colombo....but I didn't go inside.
  5. lol....I have no reason to promote my family's websites. It's not like we sell or advertise anthing or like they're even good looking sites. They're cookie-cutter. I posted because someone wanted to see and I thought I was making it easier than searching for the old thread. From the beginning, I have been interested only in getting DN his due recognition even though he gave in private without looking for that recognition....I saw that someone may want to give to the orphanage, which is non-profit and any donation is tax deductible. I will be posting info on both sites how to do a bank transfer
  6. That's why you bottle up your feelings and hide them in a locked box and never deal with them....
  7. I really appreciate those who have shown in my trip to Sri Lanka which was made possible by DN.Because someone on another thread showed some interest, I wanted to post the sites again which have photos and notes about my journey. It was really life-changing!There will be a lot more photos soon...so check back if you're interested. My Dad's site: www.seltzersweb.comMy family's site: www.helmsfamily.infoThanks again,Karen
  8. roundingace: not because your misery deserves a reply....but I do feel like I should reply this time.... I, being a complete stranger, emaild DN on Jan. 1st. He had posted in his blog: "Ups and Downs"... I told him in a short note that I had been having serious downs...then I told him I'd like to go to Sri Lanka to help with tsunami relief. Without hesitation he told me he'd send me and he ended up sending double what he originally told me to pay for my airfare and help those in serious need.He deserves to see the support from us, and I have no doubt he would support you if you were. It's not
  9. Agreed....It probably means something to him to know he has a ton of people thinking about him, praying for him whatever it may be for you personally.Post just to let him know you're thinking about him.Not knowing Daniel, me and my family have a lot of love for him for the kindness he's showed us.....like I said, it might help him to know how much support he has.
  10. So for those who care, I'm back from Sri Lanka. For those who don't care...it was awesome, you really should (care)...If you didn't hear how great DN has been to me, he paid for me to go there to help with tsunami relief.Aside from a little drama with the org I went with and other crap, it went really well and it was a life-changing experience! My Daddy has been posting my photos & notes on his website. Worth a quick look I think: www.seltzersweb.comI met someone who is trying to find the name of the child whom he rescued...the photo of the family is on my site: www.helmsfamily.infoBy all m

It will be great, and at first it may only be great because Daniel's name is associated with it!I personally will support Daniel in any way I can. 17. I was raised in LA...became a tweeker and screwed up my life...got sent to rehab a couple times...turned my life around...had children and adopted 1...converted to Christianity...worked at the rehab I had been sent off to...now I'm lucky enough to be going to Sri Lanka to counsel tsunami victims with Daniel's help...I'm not famous for any of it, though.

  19. From the Daily Herald, Saturday, January 29, 2005:POKER PRO PLEDGES AIDOrem Women to help tsunami victims thanks to Daniel Negreanu's donationWhen Karen Helms became determined to go to Sri Lanka to help tsunami victims, she had to find some money. Her husband said they could afford the program fee to travel to Sri Lanka with Global Crossroad, but not the airfare. Helms started thinking of people who have money and immediately thought of her TV sports hero - poker champion Daniel Negreanu. The 25-year-old mother of four from Orem had e-mailed her favorite player at least once before and received

Unless you ARE Howard or Annie, I don't see why you would demand an apology from Daniel???Let's get back to our business...
  21. We all recognize Daniel's skill and greatness at the table. He's a world-class poker pro... no question. I just feel like Daniel deserves some recognition for something he has done away from the table...I will be flying out in Feb. to Sri Lanka to assist in the Tsunami Relief effort. Daniel is sponsoring this trip, and he has done so in private (without looking for recognition). It is now my goal in life to make sure everyone knows what an awesome person Daniel is! How often do you find GOOD people like this, who choose to sponsor a fan (a complete stranger) to help a "neighbor" in need?I foun
