  1. You fold QQ to a river raise on a j high board in a three-way raised pot when 98 gets there?
  2. If you're reading this that I would rather not flop a set in early position than not, I understand what you mean. What i'm saying is limping UTG with 22 at a B&M 2/4 table is a risky proposition at best. Not mentioning the fact that every PP will be in that hand, and that you might get raised, the amount of chasers cut into your chances of winning the hand by the river. 2/4 online is a completely different animal. But i suppose you shouldn't take my word for and read up on low pp in early position yourself.
  3. Which is why I fold preflop.... I know the games you mean and they are the most dangerous to medium strenght hands like two pairs and sets....inside straights and runner runner flush and straights are what makes the game "exciting" for these types of people. I like to be in position with low pockets to be able to drive people out rather than trap them....they like to be trappedToo many fish at a table can be sufficating.
  4. nh. The three bet on the flop (assuming SB is not a maniac) leads me to believe that we have to be beat here. My play would vary based on my past experiences w/the SB (if he's a maniac, this is an easy call), but all things being equal, I can't raise on that river and I can't just lay it down. Calling is the cop out, and a raise (followed by a fold to a 3 bet) is better than a fold.A tough spot, I can see why this hand brought up a long discussion.
  5. I could see a call if everyone called BB bet on the flop, but not for me.I'm not chasing a 4 outer here, though i would doubt all 4 7s are in the deck. And I would hate to see an 8 hit and have to make another decision on the turn OOP.EDIT: my point is, i'm either check/folding or check/raising, not check calling.
  6. Well the limpers will call BB's bet, but if i wanted to play 85 in this spot to try and win the hand then sure.I personally check/fold the flop regardless of the action.
  7. By check raising, i'm representing a jack while adding value to my gutter, and hoping to take it on the turn if not even the flop. If someone hit, or BB/limpers have a legit hand, i want to find out now. BB 3 bets a check raise w/a hand, calls/folds on flop and folds the turn w/o one. As for the other two, they will define their hands for us here. You set yourself up to take it outright on the turn when a blank falls for all involved on the turn, or win a huge hand from top pair/over pair when a 7 falls. As i've seen it, top pair isn't going anywhere in this spot regardless of BB's raise
  8. Then fold to his pf raise.. this is short handed, he could be on a complete bluff/ overcards.. give yourself a chance to win the hand or don't call a raise
  9. never fold here, they might put you on AK
  10. check, raiser will bet and call/raise if one or two of your other limpers call, if not fold.lead out when a 7 or an 8 hits and figure out where you are.
