Here's the deal with Tarantino (per IMDB):Robert Rodriguez scored Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) for $1. Quentin Tarantino said he would repay him by directing a segment of this movie for $1. Tarantino, a vocal proponent of film-over-digital, has said that he was curious to get hands-on experience with the HD cameras which Rodriguez lauds. When asked about his experience, Tarantino merely replied, "Mission Accomplished."

Simpsons > Family Guy >> American Idol.We can revisit the Simpsons vs. Family Guy thing in a couple years. I wouldn't say it's the best TV show ever, but the Upright Citizen's Brigade had a lot going for it. I've completely worn out my bootleg copies of the show's run.

You're thinking of Todd Brunson.

Funny that you chose this hand because it absolutely killed me tonight. It cracked my kings and aces in less than fifteen minutes. Thankfully it didn't cost me anywhere near five hundred. It's a lot easier to forget about when the decimal point is a couple spots to the left.

That's the worst idea I've heard in a while.

*free* n c a a tournament bracket set up in yahoo
MDXS replied to TJ_Eckleburg's topic in General Poker Forum
I'll also be in once the brackets are announced. I completely agree with you about the scoring...it's also my preferred method. -
The trailer looked extremely promising. Comic book movies always have the potential to really suck, but the fact that it has Frank Miller's approval really cuts down on that possibility. It'll probably be just good enough for me to really get my hopes up for Watchmen, which is almost certainly going to be a blasphemous piece of garbage.

If this were a boxing match... I was going to set the over/under at 14. Heh...of course you mean that it wouldn't be news, right? Perhaps you could dig up some verses for me...I've got to say, this dialogue amuses me greatly.

Sounds like an excellent idea. I've been hooked on the NCAA tournament since I came in 3rd in my father's office pool when I was 10. Unfortunately, the start of the tournament coincides with my spring break, so I haven't been able to organize a pool at school these last couple years. Yeah...so I'll be in.

Perhaps a vacation would be good. Leave Mushu with Travis and get a chance to relax.

I think some of us have wildly different definitions of facts.

Did you say terrible, because I think you mean hilarious...Dutch should get together with Kevin Mitchell.

Oh boy...here we go...or not, Smash beat me to it.Anyway, Mattnxtc, the short of it is that all these sources would be far more convincing had they been written when Jesus was alive. Since they were written afterwards (and don't really say anything, etc...), they are useless to your argument.
-
But Smash, the Bible is the Word of God, so everything in It is absolutely true! Every letter is the mortal nuts!I mean, come on...it's been around for THOUSANDS of years! How could it not be infallible?...Sorry...it's getting late and I've had my fill of debate, hence my asshatery.

I'll confirm this. They are not called "flap jacks" in Boston or surrounding areas.

Okay, now I see what you're saying. Never said Constantine put together the bible or any of that. Just said that he made Christianity the religion of the empire.

I thought this was going to be about Norman Chad...

I have no idea what you're saying right now. I will back off my earlier assertion that Paul was unfamiliar with the gospel of Luke. I thought that the gospel was written after Paul's death (65-67 CE), but it's possible that it was written in the early 60's. Doesn't mean he read it, but he could have.
-
Heh...he's ignorant of the history? Paul wasn't an apostle. The gospels were not written at the same time. Constantine is important outside of a crappy book. Of course the Christian community was thriving by the time he converted...it wouldn't do him any good to convert to an illegal cult if they weren't everywhere. Luke's gospel, as well as the rest, were likely written down after Paul's death. Not bad...averaging about one factual inaccuracy a sentence...

Damn straight. They go back into the studio on the ides of March with a US tour to follow.

I should add to my last post that the black holes were observed indirectly. You can't observe a black hole for many reasons, which definitely don't need to be examined here.

Excellent link to the atoms thing. I was certain that I had seen atoms arranged to form "IBM," but had no source to back it up...And speaking of having no source to back anything up, it was my understanding that three black holes have been observed. All three are in binary star systems where one star is, well, a star, and the other a black hole. It has been observed that matter from the star is constantly being sucked into what looks like nothingness. Since the stars orbit each other, the direction of the matter is constantly changing. Again, I have no source on this, so consider it critically

Thanks for the Bible quotes, I wasn't certain about that. It hasn't been around long, so I'd say that it's wildly popular. And why couldn't that many change their lives because of scientology? Thanks Filesharer, want to take over for me in that debate?
