  1. Why do the black suits have higher variance than the red?
  2. The win-loss thing looks like this by my count:H: W5, L2O: W5, L1, T1R: W2, L5S: W4, L2E: W4, L2with some assumptions for the dark levels
  3. Nicely Done!Making some guesses and realizing DN was probably playing Stud when he posted being above $400 and not Razz. These totals are close to reality:H: -12,600O: 144,000R: -29,200S: 70,800E: 34,000
  4. Totals after day 2:H: -12,600O: 144,000R: 30,800S: 10,800E: 34,000There is some uncertainty between Razz and Stud in level 6. These totals get him above $400K after Razz and are correct going into level 7 Holdem.
  5. Day 1 totalsH: +2,400O: +55,600R: -40,200S: +31,800E: -14,200third round difference in holdem of 200
  6. Stay calm. You still have some play left. They can be crazy with their stacks, you have to be selective.

  8. Do you trust your passive read enough to bet/fold? If so go ahead and bet.I probably check/call because I want to get to showdown.
  9. Jackson Rancheria has a poker room and it is 18+. There have have small no-limit (1/3 and 2/5, I think) and small limit (3/6 maybe 4/8, 6/12) games. When the young kids are playing the games are pretty soft. They have some new tournaments that are statelites to a monthly $100K guaranteed tourney or something.
  10. 9-Handed, LHE, 6-12Preflop: Hero is BB with , . UTG raises, 2 fold, MP2 raises (0.33 SB and is all-in), MP3 calls, CO calls, Button calls, 1 fold, Hero calls closing the action, UTG calls 0.33 SB.Flop: (14 SB) , , (6 players, 1 all-in)Hero checks, UTG bets, MP3 calls, CO calls, Button calls, Hero calls? With the flush draw out there, the Q out there, and so many in the pot, should I be leading this flop, should I check raise?
  11. I like c/r flop better. You can better protect your hand and you trap the donor. Then lead turn and take it from there.
  12. I think the likelihood of a bluff is nearly equal for bet vs. check in this hand (and neither is likely). In fact, giving up the lead sets off more alarms for me than continuing to lead.
  13. Looks good to me.The two callers take away raising to clean up the few outs we have--so we are stuck with no pair, no draws against a coordinated board. There will be better places.
  14. I just bet. Give him a chance to bluff raise your lead
  15. I have no idea where CO is in this hand and he has position on us. The Jc is a pretty "dirty" out here.Getting to showdown will cost two bets pretty often.
  16. The good news is he didn't raise the turn--could be a single big diamond. We have to follow through with a bet on any non-diamond river, right?and c/c any diamond.
  17. Part of me wants to fold this river, but I think we have to call one.So, standard it is.
  18. gg sir.I second the salt and pepper for steaks. Add rosemary sometimes too.
  19. I tried for five minutes to come up with a reason to not raise, but I never convinced myself. We are drawing thin against QQ and JJ. If two cold with the threat of a cap gets them to fold then our check-raise was worthwhile.
  20. I am interested to hear why not if you are willing to share.
  21. Call the river.Next time raise the flop.
