  1. As I sit here enjoying myself reading all of the climategate e-mails, I just recalled an earlier thought that these book cooking scientists really need to be put in jail for crimes against humanity. I wonder if a prisoner's dilemna approach was taken with a bunch of these whitecoats, just how quickly they would start ratting each other out, if the end punishment for those not capitulating was going to be extremely harsh. Dare to dream...........
  2. I would love to listen to LLY explain this one. It appears to be a math problem. Not the usual kind though, kind of a man-made math problem. Hell I will even send him food.http://nzclimatescience.net/images/PDFs/gl...warming_nz2.pdf

  4. This little fella does look a little rabid....
  5. This is really funny on a number of levels. I was going to start a thread like this on Saturday and just thought "Why bother?". The zealots don't want to have a discussion based on facts anyways. So I just hit delete.Queue FCP Bob, VBNautilus, and Long Live Yorke to come out swinging with their zealous bats now.
  6. Take comfort from knowing that your Mom is in a better place now, and that you will meet again with her and your father in the next life.
  7. Interesting post Royal. Not beyond the realm of possibility in any way. Indeed, what really changes every time a new version of pokerstars downloads? Not much that I notice.I know that in my own case, very early in my online journey I had a couple of tourney wins that I had no business winning. The first, a $1 entry 1700 player tourney, and the 2nd a $3 1200 player or so tourney. Definitely could not spell poker at the time. Ran like fricking God too (would have made Cada's FT run luck run look random). Definitely peaked my interest in the game, got all Harrington and such, and then pro
  8. Well I took a few things away from watching that final table1. Anyone really can win the main event - seem to see more skill watching Sunday Million FT replays. Motivated to hop back in teh ME qualifiers for next year.2. You gotta be a luckbox, but chip and a chair can happen too - remember thinking when Cada was at $2M that "This guy ends up with $136M????"3. Enjoyed watching that guy get busted shortly after he won a hand and yawned to his entourage. Don't know why that was so annoying.Picked a bad time to reread DN's smallball book than watch all the PF shoves with 30 to 40 bb's left.Fre
  9. A pleasure to watch for the 3 hours I have watched now. So solid. TID please
  10. On a related note, Don Trahan is my new golf Lord and Savior.Used to think he was a bit of a hack, but then his kid (D.J. Trahan) gets onto the PGA tour and starts winning using the 3/4 swing that Don teaches (easy on the back too since you never take the club beyond your toeline, a little bit of turn and a whole lot of lift, as he says).Long story short, hitting the ball 250 off the deck with a 3 wood to tee-off, straight as an arrow, and golf is fun again. Not a shill, just happiness over a lot of years of swing searching. Learned it off a video series online too.At any rate, to each his own
  11. Hmmn - would certainly draw in the MILF loving demographic..........
  12. Indeed I have. Feel free to swing by and shovel the extra foot of "proof" off of my sidewalks and driveway. Plsthks.
  13. I would say a pretty clear sign that someone has remained a liberal . God Bless you. I have used my brain quite a bit if you were to review the original 1000 page or so FCP thread debate on the IPCC reports (which started by DN watching "An Inconvenient Truth" and stating that Al Gore was great). The problem is the tree hugging crowd pays no heed to the brittleness of the scientific models, hence I won't expend any more energy other than to observe how fricking cold it was for the majority of the summer and how early the snow has come.At any rate, you can't hook me either Mr FCPBob. Just
  14. Nice try Yorkie, but we have danced before, and I find it of little use to argue logic and common sense with you tree hugging utes. At any rate, on the bright side, since you are presumable quite a bit younger than me, you will have to pay for this cap and trade nonsense for a lot longer, so I take some comfort in that. Hopefully your salary will continue to escalate so that you pay an even higher proportion of your takehome pay.I will leave this debate with one more nugget given to me as a youth, which did not make sense to me until I got older. If you are not a liberal when you are young, y
  15. Well I have said my piece many times so my position is well known. All I have left to do now is wait and watch and observe. And what I observe outside is a foot of snow on October 12. I am tempted to take out my 2 SUVs and burn a full tank of gas or 2 in each in an effort to bring on the global warming that I would so dearly love to see, so that I don't have to have snow on October 12.Will report back next fall.
  16. Jeez this live poker is hard work! 12 hour days. Anyways, played shortstack ninja for the longest time and managed to squeek into 16th place out of 240 entries for 1600 bucks. I am pretty happy with how patient I played and made some sick laydowns (the people almost always showed) to last much longer than I should have. This live stuff is fun, and you guys were right, the level of play is pretty bad. Only thing I hate is handling those chips, online much easier at taking your antes for you!
  17. Not sure of the rules, but hopefully a 2500 buyin tourney online win does not count the same as a 10k buyin live win points wise.Voted no, btw.
  18. Thanks - that is helpful and also a confidence boost. Come to think of it, the tourneys I won in Vegas were 70 to 100 buyins, and the skill level was pretty low (not that I am highly skilled but people thought A8 off was the nuts from EP a lot of the time).
  19. Hee Hee I was going to comment on how smokin' Serena looked. This just killed it for me for life, but very well played!
  20. So based on a run of good luck and a bit of skill in Vegas (i.e. winning a couple of small tournaments at Binions), my friends want me to take a shot at a $660 buyin tourney tomorrow (call me horsey). The tourney is a deepstack, starting out with 12,000 in chips, 25/50 blinds, and 45 minutes levels. I estimated that I could last for over 5 hours without playing a hand, so definitely a deep stack tourney.Online I have taken a shot at the Sunday Million (215 buyin) a few times, with little to no success (tend to be too impatient). Most of my wins (not that many) have come in much faster tourn
  21. Schulman must be sooooooo pissed at going from 9 to 1 to 4.5 to 5.5 now...
