  1. I playd 10-20 blinds nl with him at commerce last month
  2. You managed a club in NY? im looking for places to play in ny, preferably higher limit games like 40/80 or 100/200, and any insight on where to play would be amazing.
  3. Worst beat ever was te one when my friend flopped quad Kings on a Kd, Ks, 10d board, opponent moves in with AQ, with te A diamonds, running QJ of diamonds, cant possibly get worst
  4. There's no way to play it better (depending on who you are playing strategy on getting him all in would differ). But the important thing is getting him all in on the flop drawing at a gutshot strait draw. You couldnt ask for a better outcome on the flop, because you dont want to lose him. The outdraw happens, and that poker. Its just one of those times, and it sucks. But don't take the outcome to mean you played it wrong.
  5. What the heck is omaha? Yes it's hold em, what other game do you get aces in? I think espn just say its the best starting hand because they want more suckers for their events. and saying 72 is the worst hand is just rediculous 23 is. Any idiot would know that ace king suited is the best hand because you can make royal flushes with it all the time.I hope to god this guy is kidding. As a matter of fact, I know he is because anyone who is stupid enough to fold aces pre flop unless its that rare super-satillite circumstance could never make any money playing poker, especially "10k a week" as
  6. He is definately better. At no point did he get a lot of chips in drawing slim, which both moneymaker and varkonyi did like it was goin gout of style. He knows how to play deep stacked and can play well after the flop, as well as release a hand (I have a strong feeling that either varkonyi or moneymaker if not both would have called with the AK of diamonds). I have played live nl with moneymaker, and i have never seen more suckouts, allthough this was a long time ago and he has gotten better.
  7. I didnt mean charge for the guys actual outs, i meant, if a guy picked up a flush draw on the turn, you want to charge him for it rather than let him see a free river, miss, and fold. Also, if you do make it look like u are charging for a flush draw, then he will think his flush is good if he gets there on the rriver (if the guy is on a flush draw), he will think a flush is good if he gets there andgive lots of action.
  8. Its not a semi bluff when you call someone elses all in, as he did when raymer moved in over the top of kanters 600k. Also, raymer has played with this guy for 5 days and knows hes a loose caller, is he really going to raise in early position, bet the all undercards board on the flop, get called, then fire out again on the turn without at least a big pair? this was a giant misread by kanter.
  9. U should have totally bet the flop considering your opponent would think you would raise pre and bet the flop with something like AK and will give u a lot of action with a 10 or even try to move u off it if he thinks u have a big pair and are representing something on the flop. At least bet the turn to charge for the draw so u get some action. Also, there is no way your opponent was slowplaying an A on the flop, and especially on the turn. If he was doing that then he would be terrible considering he would be giving KQ KJ QJ or a 3 flush a free draw to beat him.
  10. I was playing 40-80 online on paradise and the biggest donkey in the world got bailed out making the worst play ever. I had A-Q off, I raise preflop he calls in position. Flop A-10-3 rainbow. I bet, he raises, I reraise (positive im good) and he caps. Turn Q.I check, he bets, I raise, he reraises, and I cap (still positive I'm good).River J.I bet because I figure there are only 2 hands in which he has a king feasibly (K-K,K-10, as ridiculous as this range sounds you would have to know the player) and so many hands with which he would pay me off (any worse A, any 2 pair like Q10, J10). He ra
  11. Only pick to melds or to a card that takes two nothing cards into 4 outs (such as picking the 6 of clubs if you have the 6 of diamonds and 7 clubs). Remember with your throws and picks that you are indicating what you have to your opponent. Also a good play is a suck, e.g. throwing the Q diamonds when you need the Q hearts, so as to mislead and draw out your card. Dont be in the habbit of drawing to a lot of high runs or pairs, especially late in the game, because you will rack up points for your opponent if you are caught. Most importantly, play defense. Remember what has been thrown (wh
