I can't really think of a hand you beat besides a bluff, which is unlikely. What does everyone think about a turn check?

What does everyone think about a turn check?Agreed, a very gross spot. I think I like the turn check call. If he has a hand like AK or AQ I think he'll check behind possibly. And if not, we call down to the river. Keeping the pot small and losing the minimum if he has JJ or above.Thinking of that, I think it's more likely that your beat by either JJ, QQ, A8 or a flush but the flush depends how quickly he called the flop. I'm ruling out KK or AA here because of the lack of a re-raise PF. Anyway as played I definetly fold.
SlackerInc 0
This is a gross spot. I can't really think of a hand you beat besides a bluff, which is unlikely.Well, there's 99...lol.Being OOP and getting the flop bet smooth called, then having to see the third diamond hit, first to act on the turn...ugh. If villain is diamond free, do you think he is going to fear the check raise enough that we could get by with a check? Would be nice but I don't know.
rdtedm 0
With 99, I think he 3bets you since youre raising from the CO and 99 is well ahead of your range -- especially playing 29/18. I was thinking we beat 99 too, but I just dont think he plays it this way. Also, we can't really assign him to the one hand we can beat so we can call.I like folding here, even though we have great pot odds. I don't think we're beating anything. AimHigher 0
I'm not sure he's floating us wide enough that we can still get value for our hand on the turn. He's not floating us on the flop with 5x or 2x and he's probably not continuing with OESDs on the turn once the diamond hits. The only hands we can really get value from are 99 and 8x. I think attempting to get it checked through might be better and create a more manageable pot on the river for us.On the river, I know he's laying us fantastic odds, but I think this is definitely a fold. Even attempting to name hands that he'd float us with on the turn then bluff the river with is hard.
CobaltBlue 662
I'm in the checking the turn camp. As played, I think we can fold the river. In addition to 99, we can also beat wonky 43 and 76.
Dictius 0
If you check the turn, would you be check/calling the turn and check/folding the any non-T river?I can see merit to that idea but I think we are losing value from 8x, 99 or a float with a single diamond. I wouldn't be surprised if I got called on the turn by 67 also. My plan was to bet/fold the turn obv.I think I would have folded to a good sized bet on the river, but it looked a bit suspicious when he bet less than half the pot. If he had a flush or an 8 he would have bet at least $10-$12, right?
mtdesmoines 2
Call on the river? What hands do I beat?Fold the river. I don't think you're ahead here enough to make $.
Dictius 0
I called and won the hand against AdQx.I think folding river is the right play though.
mtdesmoines 2
I called and won the hand against AdQx.I think folding river is the right play though. We OBV stimulated a bluff with a check on the river. Which is fine if we have his range nailed down as big aces. Make a note that he FLOATS. I think it's important to know who is capable of floating and who isn't.
