I also want to know some more about this ride. I obviously imagine it will be awesome, but I need some deets.
I went in without knowing a bunch aside from that it was in high demand and involved motion simulation. While in line, my linemates assured me that it was the best ride at Disney World (they had ridden it that morning and were going again), and I came away agreeing with them.

If you're familiar with Soarin at Epcot or California Adventure, it's similar to that. If you're not familiar with those, it's vaguely like the old Back to the Future/Simpsons rides at Universal. However, it's more individualized than those and just straight up more thrilling. The premise is that you're riding a Banshee - the dragon things from the Avatar movie. You're led into a room that holds 8 people (two rooms next to eachother, so 16 total)...there may be two of those (for 32 slots)...not sure. You get seated on something that resembles a motorcycle and put on 3d glasses. Then a giant screen comes up in front of you that basically fills your field of vision. Your seat then moves in time with the video screen. You fly through a bunch of different areas of Pandora. They throw in a little more fun things like wind in your face, sprinkles of water, and some smells. I say it's thrilling, but it's also extremely relaxing. With both it and Soarin, I feel like I could ride them for an hour and just feel so peaceful.

Yes, it's true: Adam West and Frank Gorshin got kicked out of a Hollywood orgy for insisting on staying in-character as Batman and Riddler.

The radical Islamists want a war between Islam and the rest of the World. Don't give it to them.

why? all of human history tells us there is only one way to stop this. no amount hashtags and crying is going to stop this problem, and it's only going to get worse as the muslim population rises in europe. we can hope they correct themselves, but considering they are a thousand years behind everyone else, i'm not hopeful we get there anytime soon.

That being said the one thing that we all need to worry about is some of these wingnuts getting their hands on a dirty bomb or suitcase nuke or something along those lines because they will use it.

I'm all for the Intelligence people recording every conversation on the planet and having as much information and intelligence as possible.

First day went fine. A bit overwhelming at times. My boss is very laid back so that's cool. My cube is also almost in the corner so only one person really has reason to walk by me. I also sort of have a window view, so that's neat.

That awkward moment when Trump both bows and curtsies, showing that Republicans are total hypocrites yet again.

I'm a #NeverTrumper but this is pretty stupid. There was no bow anywhere in the video, and during the supposed "curtsy" Trump was just getting a medal put around his neck by a guy about a 1/2 foot shorter than him, and then readjusting it by moving up and down. He's not even looking at him when he does this supposed bow/curtsy. This kind of stuff was so stupid when the republicans did it to Obama, and it's equally stupid now.

i'm not religious in any way, and believe religions of all kinds are dumb. so that doesn't offend me in the way you were hoping. but i do see that argument a lot. and the difference is that in 2017 the majority of christianity has moved past the middle ages whereas the majority of the muslim world wants sharia law. you should move over there if you disagree though. i'm sure it would work out well for you and your family.

and moreover, i dont believe christians are shooting a lot of people in american IN THE NAME of christianity. abortion bombings sure, but i honestly can't remember the last time that happened. maybe it's a left wing media conspiracy not to talk about christians bombing abortion clinics. because we all know how in the bag the media is for christianity and how hateful they are by reporting when muslims kill people in the name of allah.

We just had my going away party and I got my boss to talk mad shit about other employees. It was great. I also got the go ahead to wear sweat pants and slides tomorrow. Gonna cash in one of my super casual days.

Best manned my brother's wedding last weekend in Birmingham. The drive up was one of the toughest journeys we've taken as our oldest girl was quite sick (her fever spiked at 104.1 along the way, so we stopped at a QuickCare/hospital). Wedding was pretty great. It was about 20mins outside of town at an old farmhouse that seems to have been converted for special events. They had a pretty slick photobooth setup. Those with Facebook can see one of the pics as it's my new profile. I think there were about 160 guests and everything went pretty smoothly.

The trip back went much better, though the fever/illness has lingered in the older one (ear infections) and it has spread to the little one and me...and possibly my wife. Felt terrible on Tuesday...then not too bad yesterday...was back to feeling kind of bad today. I think the meds have helped - I'm frequently reluctant to take them since I'm not always sure the side effects (mostly nausea) are worth it, but they seem okay this go-around.

Sounds like a couple of solid Sundays. And a reminder that i haven't had any coffee today yet.

Me? I ran 8 miles this morning and then ran some errands. Now I'm watching some tv before doing laundry.
