JoeyJoJo 18
Or David Lee isn't nearly the player that the others are.To me he might be the most overrated player in the NBA for a number of reasons.Oh, for sure. I was on ESPN.com and playing their free agent slot machine and he was one of the eight players listed, so I included him here.Everytime I spun it, Wade stayed in Miami. I guess the ESPN experts don't think he'll leave. But I did get one scenario that also had Lebron and Bosh joining him in Miami. That seems even more unlikely than Wade leaving. FCP Bob 1,312
I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's draft not to see where players get taken but to see the trades that are going to take place.Miami trying to have as much cap space as possible. They now have 4 2nd round picks and the nice thing with them is that they don't come with guaranteed contracts and they don't take up any cap space until they're signed. Having a first round pick creates a cap hold that lowers the amount of cap space teams have to sign free agents even if a team hasn't signed them yet.http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A...under-heattradeHeat trade Cook to Thunder, clearing cap spaceBy TIM REYNOLDS, AP Sports Writer 36 minutes ago MIAMI (AP)—The Miami Heat wanted to clear more cap space for free agency. The Oklahoma City Thunder wanted a shooter to boost their 3-point corps. What might be a win-win was struck Wednesday. The Heat traded shooting guard Daequan Cook(notes) and the No. 18 selection in Thursday’s draft to the Thunder, in exchange for the No. 32 pick. Cook was due to make about $2.2 million next season, and Miami no longer has the $1.2 million in a salary-cap hold for what was its first-round selection.“With this move, we are continuing with what we set out to do the day we decided to re-build the team,” Heat president Pat Riley said. “That is to put together the best team possible, and sometimes that process requires addition by subtraction. This is just one of many moves we have made to continue to build this team.”So in short, the Heat found more money to spend when free agency opens July 1.“We are pleased to add Daequan Cook to the Thunder roster,” Thunder general manager Sam Presti said. “He will add depth and shooting to our backcourt.”Which they needed. The Thunder ranked 25th in the NBA in 3-point shooting last season, making around 34 percent. And Cook is a former NBA 3-point shootout champion, although he struggled this past season and lost his spot within the Heat rotation.Cook averaged 5.0 points in 45 games, hitting only 40 of his 126 attempts from 3-point range. The move leaves Miami with four second-round picks in Thursday’s draft. And it positions the Thunder to make a splash on draft night. Oklahoma City currently holds three first-round picks—Nos. 18, 21, 26—as well as the No. 51 selection.

Good news. Wonder who we're supposed to get back though. It could be that they're getting nothing back other than some future 2nd round pick with a bunch of conditions that can never happen. I like this deal for the Wizards a lot. The only problem with Hinrich is that he's making $9 million next year and $8 million the year after and the Wizards have a lot of cap space. I think he'll make a nice compliment to Wall since he plays good defense and can play both the 1 and the 2.

BigDMcGee 3,352
THe bulls trade was to clear cap space for 2 max players. This is HUGE for the bulls, because I don't know how Lebron can turn down rose/noah/+1 other max player.

If you're going to play with a guy who needs the ball a lot anyway, why not just go play with Wade +1 other max?

Lebron has to have a couple of legit 3 point threats around him. If I were the Bulls, I would looking at adding Lebron and Kyle Korver and someone else, not Lebron and Bosh. JoeyJoJo 18
Yeah, who hits jumpers in Chicago with that lineup?Kirk Hinri- oh...But the other +1 max guy could be Joe Johnson (who isn't really a max contract guy, but whatever), right?

They have to find a 3 who can hit 3s though. I still think Lebron ends up back in Cleveland.

JoeyJoJo 18
http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/chicago-bu...coming-too.htmlSo who is this guy anyway and what's his connection with Lebron? With the way Lebron has handled this whole free agency thing, it makes zero sense that he would let somebody leak this kind of information if it were true. This actually makes me think he has less sway with Lebron than previously thought.

JoeyJoJo 18
Portland firing their general manager one hour before the draft and then asking him to still run the draft (and him still doing it) is one of the most bizarre draft day stories I've heard.Paul Allen is going to ruin the Blazers and Kevin Pritchard will have his choice of where to work next. Not a strong move.

If lebron says something, it can be considered tampering. But since Wes has no official position with Lebron, then he can say what ever he wants.
