  1. I just wanted to say that although there are some women that use their "assets" to distract men, I use my skill to just outplay them more often than not. But there are those that do! Now if there were only flirtatious, sexy men who could possibly distract me from my game.... that would be bad news.
  2. I loved that quote! And OMG it is so true! And thank you speedz for that intruiging update! Hehe....
  3.        Spoken like a true poker player!! We get along great!
  4. Well.....hmmm seems to me that whatever neanderthalic ideas that you have about me, are just proof enough that you are a blabbering and chauvanistic pig/ idiot. If you choose to respond with childish name calling and stereotypical (aka calling me a dyke because you think I'm a feminist and I have the sources behind what I am saying that agree with me; based on your opinion and it doesn't agree with you- because I have a brain) Then I pity your life and your extremely twisted thought process. Just like yourself, I have a right to express my opinion and when someone is calling me weak and a poor
  5. If you have any further disagreements on wether poker is gambling here is a site for you: http://www.gambling-us.com/poker.htmlOh and I do stand corrected Black Jack is a game of skill as well.
  6. I was just curious about that b/cAs I gave earlier....the definition of gambling: To bet on an uncertain outcome, as of a contest. To play a game of chance for stakes. To take a risk in the hope of gaining an advantage or a benefit. To engage in reckless or hazardous behavior: You are gambling with your health by continuing to smoke. By playing for fun with no stakes of any kind involved does not make it gambling. [/b]
  7. You know is tunnel-visioned people like yourself who judge, based on a small few.....But I have a few things to remedy that and the sources to back them up. Find some source that says men are smarter than women. If that's the case then men would have found a way for them to self reproduce and have the capability to have children.Just a few things I've found:1) Taken from: http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/wome.html2)Taken from: http://www.sobran.com/wanderer/w2005/w050127.shtmlOn standardized tests, as is well known, women outscore men in verbal skills, while men outscore women in math and
  8. Here is the article I believe that you were referring to:http://blogs.salon.com/0002762/stories/200...anaIllegal.htmlI thought myself it was interesting. I believe that like any vice one has, you should use it with responsibility and moderation. Anything can cause a death.Smoking is bad ( I do smoke) because not only are you affecting yourself healthwise, but also anyone else who is inhaling secondhand smoke. (I try to smoke with other smokers, or by myself. Alcohol is bad ( I do drink) because it impairs judgement, lowers inhibitions (We all remember those foolish one night stands- and then r
  9. Correction.....poker is a skill game, not gambling. For DN winning at poker...like all poker professionals that is their job: to WIN!!Blackjack is gamblingSlots are gambling.....Gambling on sports....Gambling on Horses....dogs...need I go on?Gambling in its truest definition: To bet on an uncertain outcome, as of a contest. To play a game of chance for stakes. To take a risk in the hope of gaining an advantage or a benefit. To engage in reckless or hazardous behavior: You are gambling with your health by continuing to smoke.Poker is somewhat a game of chance, however it is by using you're skill in
  10. Oh yeah....and as far as the donkey who said that tells don't count. please if you ever come to NEbraska, I would love to play you in a cash game. And take you money....oops I mean test your theory to mine.
  11. Okay......now time for my two cents. I am a woman and I do have the right to voice my opinion on this matter. I have been told by several of my colleagues that I play poker like a guy. It is true, women for the most part do play a bit tighter than men and that men are more aggressive by nature. However, most women are more intuitive than men and can pick up on more things and are a bit more aware of their surroundings than most men. I myself do play tight for only part of the game and then I mix up my game. But I am in no way predictable. If I start to believe that I'm being predictable, I wil
  12. I think coming from a woman's opinion such as myself. When I was growing up I was more of a tomboy and so I naturally had more guy friends than girls. I can honestly say that my boyfriend gets jealous easily and even though I may run into my old friends and sometimes flames from time to time, outside of saying hello, I leave the past in the past. I can understand if the meeting now was platonic and it consisted of dinner and just conversation. I'm sure though that DN and her discussed Lori into some extent. Obviously DN and his friend do have that mutual respect for marriage and nothing was go
  13. I prefer the deli bologna.....that is some good eats, but you have to get the beef but Oscar Meyer is the best. Also in reference to the play, for me pot odds and calling will depend on 4 things: The amount of chips in my stack......the odds I'm getting on my money....position...and finally how many people are in the pot all together. Probably not the best hand to go in with, especially if there were 2 others in it with you. But I agree just going in on the odds will probably end up busting you more often than not. I believe that you have to look at allthe angles before making a decision. But
  14. I haven't been on the forum for a couple of months, due to work. I was wondering if I would be able to sign on maybe as a standby/substitute and play for someone who couldn't??
