I’m a fan, and I’m rooting for them to make the playoffs. But every game of theirs I watch, the announcers talk about how they’re the least penalized team in the nhl, like 4 or 5 straight years. And then it never fails, like infinity uncalled obvious fouls. obv nhl is rigged for a Carolina Cup winner, big ratings. I dont know what to tell you, they are least penalized, thats a fact. and I dont really see them being a team that gets breaks from the refs. Maybe they do during Pens games? Ive watched most of this game, havent noticed more than 1 or 2, which every team gets nightly. I've noticed refs have really stopped calling the slashes, like they were in Oct. And if I may....why doesnt someone just shoot Hornqvist? He always gets a free hack or two at a goalies glove hand after the pucks in there for a few secs. Its such a crappy way to play the game. fwiw, I kind of liked Steiggy. But I didnt listen to him too often. I like the Canes guys, I find them 9/10 on the hockey smarts, but Id give them a 5/10 on being a little too homerish for my tastes. Link to post Share on other sites

Make standard infractions but every time I watch they get the “let them play” refs or just don’t get called. It’s weird. Not super remarkable, but odd to me. Anyways, I like the Canes crew. Last year I tended to watch lots of opponent announcers because I was sick or Steigerwald. He turned into a whiny homer. If the Canes guys are homers, I never noticed, so it wasn’t the whiny kind. I dont know, seems like a good move for Nashville. he only left the game 7 months ago, as long as he didn't completely let himself go, it might be the perfect way to help the team. use the next month or two to catch up to speed and let his smarts and experience give them the 3rd/4th line solid C you need in April+May.
