Screenwriting - Wrote a Vegas/poker themed screenplay entitled "Vegas Knights" that won a 1st place award at the Nevada Film Festival, an honorable mention at the Las Vegas Film Festival, and was a quarterfinalist at the huge Scriptapalooza contest. Script still available.

Some trivia: Uecker hit 14 home runs in his career, 3 of them off Hall of Fame pitchers. One of those pitchers was Sandy Koufax. When Uecker saw Koufax after that he would apologize to him because he thought his homer might keep Koufax out of the Hall of Fame.

I have a feeling it's going to be a long hibernation unless some big event happens that kickstarts poker again. One possible big event would be a successful poker themed movie that got people that currently don't give a damn about poker interested. One example of a movie that created a craze was the movie "Saturday Night Fever". Disco absolutely exploded across the nation after that movie. Another example was the movie "Urban Cowboy" which showcased a "mechanical bull riding machine". I like the Jack Straus story where he owed a guy a lot of money and was scheduled to pay it back on a certain day. Jack didn't have the money so he hatched a plan with 2 friends. Jack agreed to meet the man he owed money on the sidewalk. Jack walks on the sidewalk and sees the man he owes money about 50 yards away and the lender sees Jack.
