I called it the Skydome when I was in an Uber last week and the guy didn’t know what I meant!

My sister’s car was stolen from Strathmore/Donlands on Saturday night. A couple blocks from a stabbing homicide. They haven’t picked up the suspect in that, so maybe best case scenario is it’s related and he just dumped it somewhere? Otherwise what do they do? Strip it for parts? Export it overseas?

Anyways, sucks for her. I don’t know what you can do or could have done differently.

they are often taken for joyrides or to use in crimes and then dumped.

My old Chrysler Neon was stolen 3 times since they were so easy to steal (no immobilizer and you could turn on the ignition with a screw driver ) and each time the car was found within a few days dumped somewhere.

Amazing. Everyone votes for the guy who promises to not cut taxes or services but also reduce taxes without increasing the deficit, even though that’s probably impossible and his supposed business acumen basically amounts to inheritance and shady deals. Then he immediately starts things off by cutting science and public infrastructure. Is Ontario going to put up a wall next?

If you knew what these jobs were than you would know what you are talking about

Let me try to explain but my bad education might not allow me to explain myself. However I will try

Wynne creates new positions in the government paying her friends $340k per year and giving them fancy titles. One of them is Allan O’Dette former President of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. When he took the job last year he said he took a haircut which is an all out lie. He got a huge raise

Wynne is a crook as you can see from making new positions for her friends. Ford is cutting these useless jobs

All I can say is it could not have happen to a nicer guy. o’Dette Is hated

I don’t care who’s jobs they were or how bad they were at them. I’m sure there are plenty of jobs that can/should be cut and I’m sure O’Dette was a jerk who deserved to be cut. My point was he promised no cuts, and immediately goes and starts cutting. He cut these jobs, cut environmental spending and cut Ontario’s assistance to refugees. It’s Week 1 and his mini-Trump agenda is obvious.

I take it back, Doug Ford’s business acumen will obviously help him find efficiencies and reduce taxes without increasing the budget or cutting services. Step 1: cut $100M in school repairs. Because of course, the electorate has been screaming for decades that schools are in too good of shape!

This I actually agree with you.

The schools here do need renos. Some of them are in very bad shape

True Wayne, and of course, I know you are actually someone who really considers his vote, so sometimes people may just disagree. What bugs me about Ford is how many people on my FB just said things like “they’re all liars, but at least under Ford my taxes will be lower” as if lower taxes don’t have consequences.

Not many people would vote for someone who said they’d take $100M away from school repair, but somehow Ford forgot to mention it’d be one of the first things he did in office I guess.

Cardinal golf on Thursday and Eagles Nest on Friday. The Friday a doctor who is on the same level as me will be playing. I am going to see if he wants to play for some coin. However he is super cheap

Otto will be attending both days as usual

IMO, NBA is a strongest link sport. The best player in the trade is Kawhi by a long shot. He can be a top 5 player if it works out, so good deal. It’s near impossible to acquire players like Kawhi so if the opportunity arises you just do it at whatever cost and try to sell him on playing in Toronto once he is there.

On the surface this looks like a disaster move for the Raptors. A player that will leave to play for the Lakers after this year.

Kawhi has expressed no desire to play in Toronto. Then you dump your star who loves the city. Loves the fans and has shown his commitment.

This is a PR nightmare. The NBA is a joke.

Demar is pissed. Kawhi is pissed. I guess things can change when cooler heads prevail. But man as a casual observer. This sucks.

At least the Raptors are getting a lot of attention today. Maybe they flip him to LA. Let’s see how it plays out

Agree 100%

I dont mind this deal at all, as a chance to go for a true run at the finals for this year. And what did you really give up? A max contract Demar, who is probably overpaid. A pick that is protected from 1-20! And Poetl, who whatever, not the end of the world. Green can help, and Kawhi is our shot at the finals. Or else, we were going to lose to Boston/Philly in the 2nd
round, and wonder what if all over again.
I hate teams that manage themselves into also rans territory. Play to go as far as possible, don;t be satisfied with status quo. Take chances!

This team is pretty close to blow it all up and build around its young core anyway, so lets go for it now. You still kept Siakam+OG. It was either this, or sit back and keep doing the same thing and expect different results.

Good move. Now convince Kawhi to play like mad this year, and get that max deal from LA next summer. He probably wont stay here long term, but you never know, a lot can change in 12 months.

IMO the deal is good. Give it a shot. Green is good not just a piece. Problem is kawhi doesn’t want to come here.
