antigonishpoker 0
I hope no one rags on me for starting a new thread similar to the WSOP still the best thread, but why is there no HORSE or SHOE events this year? I find these events the most interesting because usually it is a very skilled player that will win. Especially after the last two winners of HORSE were Doyle and Fischman, why axe it out this year? I have also noticed that there is no Triple Draw or Ace-Five, I can't believe the WSOP would omit these events that have long standing tradition, I am speculative if the Rio has something to do with this. Pupsta 0
at least they still have NL 2-7 single draw....that was the best final table ever last year
Absolute 0
It has been decided to phase out those mentioned tournaments to make room for the addition of extra PL and NL Holdem Tournaments.

Army Eye 0
It's a dumb move by Harrah's. It won't happen overnight, but, the more they tamper with the WSOP, the more it will lose its mystique as the premier poker event.
Vade 0
Yeah, but if they can draw 6600 people for the main event and 2500 for each side NLHE event...I doubt they care overly much  My concern with Harrah's is that with their purchase of Ceasar's etc they control way too much of Vegas
DKE_XP120 0
I played 2 HORSE tourneys in my attic last night, waaaaaay drunk.... Good times, only 3 people playing had a 2-1 chip lead the first time, but i lost that in Razz when my J-10-8 lost to a J-10-7, then made a bad play in Stud.Second tourney I made a move against our Ultra-Weak-Tight friend.... He layed down 8-8 in holdem preflop to a standard raise.... THREE HANDEDThen called me with TP no kicker, it was a fun way to end the night after the bars though.I won all my money for the tourneys placing bets at the bar on stupid sh*t anyway. The "which old lady will come out of the bathroom first" starting me off good. Then I won a bet on a boxing match that I had no idea who i was betting on. I proceded to win a double bet, how long until our drunken friend actually sat down (I took the "even" minutes, my friend took the odds) We had another bet on how long until he bought us shots.A pointless story, but it makes the bar fun
indianachris 0
I played my first SHOE tourney last night and had a hell of a time. I agree that it would take a lot of skill to win a WSOP event of SHOE and HORSE but it is all about the money these days.
monoatomic 0
DKE...if only you had a huge bankroll you could tag along Ivey and play golf at 10k a hole, or maybe bet on some pickle races at McDonalds.

As for the golf bets... we dont like to bet on anything we can control, such as betting on if a girls first name starts with a letter from the first or second half of the alphabet.
