GeneralGeeWhiz 0
Rice, the perfect receiver for the West Coast offense, played 20 seasons for San Francisco, Oakland and Seattle. He made 1,549 catches for 22,895 yards, had 14 1,000-yard seasons and scored 208 touchdowns.wow
BigDMcGee 3,352
THe best stat about rice I've seen was that he had over 1000 yards at age FORTY, for the Raiders. 40? that's really nuts.

CaneBrain 95
its insane. i think Rice is probably the best football player in history.top 10 at the very least. at that point, it's all about degrees and personal preference.Sucks to be Cris Carter right now. He just keeps coming up with one great WR overshadowing him. But he is way way too good to not get in eventually. He should already be in but what can you do...

I'm pretty sure if you asked all of the voters, they would all have to honestly agree that Cris Carter is a hall of famer. He will eventually get in, so why not just vote him in right away. I don't understand why they try to drag it out. If the guy is clearly a hall of fame player, put him in the first time he is on the ballot, don't make him wait just because you don't wanna vote too many people in on the same year. Thats just nonsense and it is really really bad in baseball especially. On a side note, Jerry Rice is like the Michael Jordan of football for me. There were many other great players before him that paved the way and there will be many great players after him, but for me I grew up watching and rooting for him which is what really turned me on to pro football. Jordan did the same thing for the NBA. They were so exciting to watch, you just got sucked in. He was a class act and very deserving of the hall.
