Ftp Security Finally Cracking Down On Multi Accounting

Recommended Posts

So late last week I email them to close my account because I suck (re: got tired of getting stacked) and generally don't like the nitty play there anyway. I almost exclusively play PLO25 and PLO50 with a few <$25 donkaments thrown in here and there. Well, I drive down to my parents for Xmas and my dad brings up his email for a hand history on Stars that he had saved (a 70 hand session at 6max .25/.50 LHE where he won 42 hands). Damn impressive heater for a 25/5/.5 player. When he brings up his email in outlook a new email pops up from Full Tilt Support titled something to the effect of "..........multiple accounts........". I told him to open it and it proceeds to explain that his account has been shut down because they found it to be a secondary account of the account I had them close. So my question is this: WTF are they thinking? He hasn't played a hand of PLO in his life and I have probably played 20 hands of LHE in the 3 years I have had my account. All of our correct/legal information is on our accounts and to our recollection we have never logged onto each other's accounts when visiting each other. My pops couldn't even remember the last time he logged into FTP. I didn't even know he had ever played on FTP (I told him I'd keep it a secret from mom). I knew he liked to observe the games with the big names. This just seems to be extremely bad business. Add that to the fact that yet again, they are completely reactive in their attempts to clean up their site. It's nice that if it really was a multi account it took one account being voluntarily closed for the other to be found. They don't complete simple IP checks on their Sunday major FT participants, but they arbitrarily (I have to assume) shut down .25/.50 player's accounts. Well played FTP, well played.

I got an e-mail from FT too, saying they closed my 2nd account, which was the one I was using.I made a 2nd account (after I got scammed and whatnot for those who remember) and they closed the 2nd account with basically my entire roll on it. My 1st account had no money and I told them to ship the 2nd account's money to the 1st account. They told me they had to review my account history and make sure I wasn't multiaccounting. Took em bout 3-4 days but they shipped and gave me $500 as a token of "gratitude for my patience." That was nice. It also helps cuz my sharkscope stats for my 1st account are horrendous compared to my 2nd, so I probably get more action now.Shipppppp.

I don't understand, if your accounts have all the correct information, and you never played together, and your different people, I don't understand what the problem is.

Neither does he - that's the point of the thread. They even live in different states.
