Who? Never heard of him, sorry.GL Loooshh, glad you didn't pull a Cory Carrol and tip $50 after you just won $500k. The dealers at Caesar's wanted his head on a platter. DRAMA BOMB!

dont all the major tournaments pull extra cash for dealers now? i know WSOP does, i guess i just assumed. tipping $50 is a pretty ******* move, like leaving a nickel on the table, better to leave nothing.

Of course they take money out for the dealers. A dealer at my school actually said he would've preferred the guy leaving nothing. He looks like a huge ****** leaving $50.

How is leaving something worse than leaving nothing? If he would have left nothing, they'd still be complaining right, or is the hubbub just because he left such a small amount?Mark

It's like running up a $500 tab at a restaurant and tipping $5...you'd rather it be nothing. It's basically a slap in the face.

Well not really. It would be like having a $500 tab, having gratuity already included, then tipping $5 on top. But I agree it is better to just leave nothing.

I heard Corey say he left 3500 or so....
Sorry to say, but you probably heard wrong. A dealer said the tip was good from 2nd place(looshle obv.) but first place left only $50. My instructor(Caesar's dealer) said the staff was pretty upset about it after the tournament. No idea why they'd lie about it, especially to a room full of people who want to do this for a living.

Caesars takes out about 3 percent from prize pool, how much is that per dealer for how many hours?5,000 * 336 entrants = 1,680,000 * .03 = 50, 400. How much of that do the dealers get?

I'm under the impression that the dealers get their wage plus tips and that the % taken from the entry fee does not get split among the dealers. If there are any casino tournament dealers here, please post what you know.

I am pretty sure the casino takes a rake, AND they take an additional amount is taking out (not including the casinos rake) for the tournament staff.
