I saw this mentioned in the latest blog and thought this might be the spot to get a discussion going. I personally think the program should come with a disclaimer "Please do not try this at home-the people you are watching are professionals".Some of the play was frightening, I would love to get an insight into the thinking behind some of the hands. I really enjoyed watching some of the guys I hadn't seen a lot of before mix it with some of the big names. Great Season IMHO.

Why are you not wanting the fishies to try this at home? I'm sure that would make a lot of action for poker pros around the globe.

I also enjoyed watching the guys that I haven't really seen before. I enjoyed Booth and Townsend. I also liked when Matusow would needle Wasicka for playing tight. Good season!

Ya Booth's probably the gut I meant the most. He seems pretty fearless and at ease in such a big game.

Make some sort of rule where they have to sit for a minimum amount of time or till they bust. Would be pretty entertaining to see some lucky donk who made his way through a 50k player field sitting with the best cash game players in the world.

I've been thinking the same thing for a while...such a good idea. The fields for those satellites would be HUGE!

That would be cool, but I wouldn't like it. One of the best aspects about HSP is that all of the players are pros (even the amateurs on the show have done well in cash games). I'm not sure having a person who won a seat through a 20k field would make for good tv (or poker).

I LIKE DANIEL NEGREANU BUT I THINK HE HAS PLAYED SOME ABYSMAL POKER ON HST FOR EXAMPLE CAST YOUR MINDS BACK TO TO SEASON 2 WHEN HE CALLED LINDGRENS ALL IN WITH A STRAIGHT ON A PAIRED BOARD, DANIEL FOR A PLAYER WITH EXCEPTIONAL READING ABILITIES THAT WAS SHOCKING STILL IT CAUSED ME TO TITTER TO MYSELF AT HIS ADVERSITY.

I've also thought about that but finally concluded: Picking a winner through a tournament is kind of silly since it's a cash game...

love hsp.in the last episode, DN kinda semi-bluffed at antonio, K10 with a Q 10 and something on board. he mentioned that he'd show him a card after the hand (right after antonio mentioned DN might have KQ), and everyone agreeded that gave DN's hand away.why?thx.

I thought this seasons was terrible compared to the last 2. The first two seasons seemed like a proper insight into a high stakes game, whereas this one seemed way too staged and hyped up. There were way to many players and from what i gather they got like 3 hours a time each which again is not enough. The first episode was boring as hell, Matusow and Sheikan are just getting old against each other now. There was way more action and good poker in the first 2 seasons, and they kept all the characters in the game for longer. Chris Ferguson should be banned from telly.

Because, with that, it clearly sounds as if he wants him to fold. And he WAS talking a little too much to have a huge hand. Not many pro's talk and analyze their opponents hand like that, if they flopped a monster. Besides Antonio was just about to muck his JJ, so it was especially stupid. Though, that in itself made it a little weird that Antonio insta-called when he heard it, he was about to muck it seemed. It would be great of DN to say it, IF he wanted the action.He won the hand though, so I am sure he doesn't have nightmares about it. Bet the "wave meister" does though.Don't know if DN would agree with my analysis,and it HAS been ages since I watched that hand.

So true. It was painful to watch him. I have been quite impressed with how the cash game players have beaten up on the "TV / Tourney" players through all 3 seasons. I would like to see all cash game specialists for season 4
