Roo6339 0
Question for all you Aussie poker players out there... What's the best way to deposit using a bank account? Taking into account things like exchange rate, is there a disadvantage playing online with American dollars?I don't have a real money account yet and I'm looking to play for real on Full Tilt. And are there any little tricks and things I should watch out for? Things like can I withdraw money at any time, or do I have to wait until a certain time before I can actually get money out?Pretty much, is there anything I should really know before I start playing real money?EDIT: I forgot to mention, I don't have a credit card. So any depositting I do would come straight from my bank card.

However hearing all the crap thats going on up in the good old US of A, I am slightly concerned...is there anything to worry bout? And, like roo, i would appreciate hearing advice on what the best way to deposit/withdraw would be thanks

I hear it's really dodgy there though, as in, 2 limit games and that's it. Don't know if the rumours are true or not...I can't afford to play in a casino (uni student with a crappy casual job), which is why I wanna start online and hopefully build a bit of a bankroll. That way if there is any good games at the casino, I'll feel more comfortable playing with money I won playing online.

Although, I just started this whole poker addiction so I think I'm far off playing for real money. I'm thinking of heading to one of those pubs which hold texas holdem each wed and see how I do as a gauge. Good luck mate
steve73 0
Get yourself a visa debit card. St George does them and I think a couple of other banks do to. You can deposit straight into the sites. You can only use the money that you deposit on your card. There is normally about a $2 (aussie) coversion fee when you depsit. You can withdraw by having sites deposit into this account to. Probably safest not to regularly keep money in this account. Saves you giving out acoount details where you keep your regular money.
Jrobb25 0
Does anyone else find themselves reading this thread in an Aussie accent. But nothing hotter than a girl with an aussie accent.
