you start from the highest card and work your way down so a 7 lo is better than an 8 lo regardless of the other cards, bu if the low was 7532a vs 7632a then the 5 would play and the 75 would be the better lo as apposed to the 76.

Well technically they split, with the Ace with 8 kicker taking the high and and the 7 low taking the low. (if it's heads up)

76321 is better,a 65432 would beat both and would be a straight for high..your other 2 cards and your oponents other 2 cards would determen high..

Yep. Worst possible hi hand in 7-stud is 2345789 (4-5-7-8-9 plays). Worst possible hi including an ace is A234678 (4-6-7-8-A plays).
