digitalmonkey 929
Don't think it's that clear cut.Paul MacLean, John Tortarella, Ken Hitchcock, Glen Gulutzan and perhaps even a few others should get serious consideration. No need to make up names.

Sven Bartschi got called up to the Flames on emergency recall on Friday...scored his first NHL goal last night.

InternetExplorer 2,609
I think perron is the best offensive weapon the blues have right now. oshie is doing lots of stuff too.I missed schwartz' first goal. will try to remember to watch it after. he definitely looks small out there. MapleLeafpoker 1,462
The sudden depth on this team is incredible. Their forward lines are stacked when everyone is healthy, though I wonder if that will actually be a detriment in some ways too, guys being unaccustomed to less TOI, and diff linemates going into playoffs
strategy 4
I remember, one year, the canadiens had like 5 20-goal scorers. http://blues.nhl.com/club/stats.htmthey could end up with 4, maybe.to me, the blues just have three lines largely full of players who would be 2nd line players on other teams. david perron might be the exception. IMO, this team is just getting carried hardcore by shattenkirk, pietrangelo, halak, and elliott.
Zach6668 513
The Pens already have 5, plus Cooke has 19, Sullivan has 17.
ajs510 122
The 05-06 Sabres had six 20-goal scorers and three more guys stuck at 18. Drury - 30Kotalik - 25Briere - 25Vanek - 25Afinogenov - 22Dumont - 20Roy - 18Hecht - 18Pominville - 18That team just scored and scored and scored...it was fun to watch. They did it again in 06-07, four of the original six minus Dumont and Kotalik, add Roy and Pominville. That was the year Vanek went off for 43. Hecht just missed again with 19 goals. strategy 4
I bet I was thinking of the sabres when I said that.I hope not only that cooke doesn't get 20, but that he also dies painfully somehow.
Zach6668 513
The Flyers had a bunch of 20 goal scorers each of the last few seasons too. Maybe even a handful of 30 goal guys. Last year they had 7 (Carter, Briere, Giroux, Hartnell, Richards, Versteeg (split with TOR), van Riemsdyk) and also had Leino at 19. They had 6 in 08/09. 7 in 07/08. That Sabres team is crazy in just how flatly it was all spread out. The Pens this year are pretty top heavy with Malkin at 48, Neal at 39, then Staal at 25, and Dupuis and Kunitz at 24.The Flyers have 4 this year, with Hartnell leading with 36, but Talbot (19) and Jagr (18) are both close. The Bruins already have 6, spread between Seguin and Marchand with 27, and Kelly at 20, with Lucic, Bergeron, Krejci in between. If Dave Bolland scores one more, the Hawks will have 6.The Devils could have 5 if Sykora scores once more. Zubrus has 17 as well. This won't happen, but even the Isles almost have 6. Moulson (34), Tavares (31), Okposo (21), Parenteau (18), Nielsen (17), Grabner (17).The Lightning have 5: Stamkos (56), St. Louis (24), Lecavalier (21), Purcell (20), Malone (20). I really, really hope the media trolls the league and he goes up for that trophy because it would be utterly hilarious. Only two games with more than 2 PIM all season, and not a single major penalty taken.
strategy 4
looks like the blues have just a tiny chance to win the presidents trophy, but I'm not holding my breaththe perron SHG tonight was pretty sweet
mrdannyg 274
Stratjeff - would you start Halak or Elliott game 1 of the playoffs?
strategy 4
halak has way the better of it as far as playoff experience goes. the run with montreal was pretty incredible.I think elliott would do fine, but I doubt we'll see it unless halak drops a game embarrassingly, or the blues lose games 1 and 2, or something. strategy 4
it's gonna be halak
